Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash, known as Dame Dash, recently shared his thoughts on Sean “Diddy” Combs and the serious allegations against him during an appearance on YouTube’s America Nu Network.
The music executive, who has previously partied with the Bad Boy Records founder, questioned why many celebrities choose to remain silent about what they witnessed at Combs’ gatherings. This interview surfaced after Combs’ arrest on September 16 in connection with s*x trafficking charges.
In the video titled Dame Dash: Let’s Talk About Diddy, which premiered on September 23 on YouTube, the 53-year-old discussed how simple it would be for celebrities to clarify their attendance at specific events and their involvement in any questionable activities.
“I remember when I asked Jay [Jay-Z] – ‘Yo, how come they say that we be beefin’ and why don’t you say anything about it?’ He would say – ‘No, I don’t want to bring any fuel to it.’ No, that brought all the fuel to it. So being silent is sometimes the loudest thing in the world,”Dash remarked.
Damon Dash also expressed his confusion over why celebrities like Jaguar Wright are not subject to lawsuits, despite making bold statements about the entertainment industry. He commented:
“I hear the stuff that Jaguar says, and she stands firm like, ‘not allegedly’… You can get sued for nothing. So I’m like, how come nobody is suing these people [Jaguar Wright]?”
Dash conveyed his curiosity about what truly happens at “these parties.”An X account, @ArtOfDialogue_, suggested that Dash was referencing Diddy’s notorious ‘Freak Off’ parties. He continued:
“So I want to know why there are no statements from all these other [celebrities]. The things they’re saying are unbelievable. It’s crazy.”
Moreover, Damon Dash mentioned that he is open about his past attendance at parties with Jennifer Lopez and Aaliyah “but no other dudes.” He added:
“I’m transparent. You can ask me any question. If I say no, you can ask me why I said ‘no.’ I’ll explain it to you. You can challenge me.”

On September 30, TMZ encountered Damon Dash in New York and inquired about his feelings regarding Sean Combs’ indictment, arrest, and the increasing number of lawsuits against him. Dash revealed he was previously unaware of Combs’ off-camera actions, stating:
“It’s disturbing. I’ve known him for a while. So, these were things I didn’t know. Now, I know.”
When pushed by the paparazzi about his awareness of Combs’ involvement in these allegations, Dash replied:
“Come on, man, you know me better than that. You see where I be at.”
Dash’s comments come in the wake of inquiries regarding his past partying experiences with Diddy. In September, images of him alongside Combs, Jennifer Lopez, and Jay-Z from a public event gained attention online.
On September 22, Dash addressed the issue on Instagram Live, clarifying that he only attended a single event hosted by Combs while dating Aaliyah from 2000 to 2001. He stated:
“I only went to one party in the Hamptons about 20 years ago with Aaliyah, and that’s it. But many people were there, you know what I mean? Nothing happened in the Hamptons. That’s when I met [Aaliyah]. We hung out and then we left. That’s what happened… I know they’re gonna play games with those pictures. It’s all good. I don’t really care.”
Meanwhile, Diddy remains in custody without bail as he awaits his upcoming trial.
