Dame Dash Addresses Rumors on Old Photos of Aaliyah at Diddy’s Party: “I Know They’re Gonna Play Games with Those Pictures”

Recently, on September 16, 2024, Sean “Diddy”Combs was arrested, prompting a flurry of online attention as photos emerged featuring Dame Dash alongside Aaliyah, Jay-Z, and Jennifer Lopez at a party with the rapper.

The images, which depict all parties lounging on a large bed, quickly made their way into the comment section of Dame’s Instagram Live session, where he was discussing the upcoming launch of his Apple Fish Kids channel, set for September 22, 2024. Responding to the circulated pictures and the event they were taken at, Dame Dash remarked:

“Ain’t sh*t happen in the Hamptons. That’s the day I met Aaliyah. We hung out there and then we left and that’s what happened…That was 20 years ago and that was not in LA, or Miami. I know they’re gonna play games with those pictures. It’s all good. I don’t really care.”

Dame Dash had a romantic relationship with Aaliyah until her tragic passing in a plane crash in August 2001. He further discussed the rumors surrounding the party during his Instagram Live, stating:

“I don’t go to those parties…I went to one about 20 years ago in the Hamptons and that was it. A lot of people were at those, you know what I mean?”

During his recent Instagram Live, Dame Dash was bombarded with questions regarding Diddy’s arrest. The entrepreneur expressed sadness over the surrounding controversies and allegations involving Diddy, describing the situation as both shocking and wild.

Moreover, Dash emphasized the importance of being selective about his company, stating that he doesn’t judge others for their choices as long as they keep them private. He mentioned, “I have nothing to do with any of it.”

Dame Dash also shared his thoughts on his relationship with Diddy, saying:

“I don’t know anything about any of those things from 2005 on. I wasn’t around, you know, and that was the reason why I wasn’t around.”

Continuing, he added:

“What’s good is I don’t know anything. I just know I wasn’t there. And whatever happened is very mysterious to me like it was a mystery to everybody else.”

On the topic of public perceptions regarding his past association with Diddy, Dash provided his insight, stating:

“People will sit there and watch people do things that could be immoral but until they get caught nobody says anything. Whether it’s illegal or immoral for me I just break out — I don’t wait for people to get busted.”

In other news, according to a recent ruling by a federal court regarding Josh Webber’s copyright infringement case against Dame Dash dating back to 2019, the United States Marshals Services are set to auction Dame’s 33.3% share in Roc-A-Fella Records to fulfill an $823,000 judgment.

However, as reported by Yahoo News, Dash’s attorney has claimed that Jay-Z, co-founder of the record label, is leveraging his resources to ensure that bids for Dame’s stake fall flat. Furthermore, Dash’s legal representative alleged that Jay-Z has failed to provide essential documentation needed for accurately valuing Dash’s interest in the label.
