Investigation into Rashee Rice’s reported car accident: Latest updates

According to reports, an accident occurred on Saturday evening on Nort Central Expressway involving a vehicle registered under Rice’s name.

It remains uncertain if Rice was involved in the car accident. However, as stated in the Dallas Morning News article, authorities are actively searching for the Chiefs wide receiver.

Rice was not listed in the Dallas County jail records as of early Sunday, according to the report.

Having grown up in North Richland Hills, Texas, it is possible that Rice’s recent presence in the area was due to his childhood roots. During his junior years, Rice displayed exceptional talent, with 72 receptions, 1,386 receiving yards, and 19 touchdowns. These impressive numbers earned him first team all-district recognition and he was highly sought after by college recruiters. Eventually, Rice committed to playing football at SMU.

Rice was ultimately drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft as the 55th overall pick. During his time with the Chiefs, he had a highly eventful year, setting a new record for most receiving touchdowns in a single season for the franchise. He also played a crucial role in the Chiefs’ 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, catching six passes for 39 yards.
