D Nation Entertainment Addresses Rumored Lawsuit Filed by 2NE1’s Park Bom Against YG Entertainment

Agency Responds to Park Bom’s Allegations Against YG Entertainment Founder

On October 23, D-Nation Entertainment, the agency currently representing former 2NE1 member Park Bom, released a statement addressing the allegations made by the artist against Yang Hyun-suk, the founder of YG Entertainment.

The official statement clarified that all financial matters related to Park Bom’s time with 2NE1 have been settled, countering rumors that she is owed a significant sum of compensation. This clarification comes in the wake of a social media post by Park Bom that stirred controversy.

Details Behind the Instagram Post

In her original Instagram post, Park Bom shared what appeared to be an official complaint document. In it, she accused Yang Hyun-suk of fraudulent practices, claiming he failed to compensate her appropriately for various professional engagements, including music releases, concerts, commercials, events, and songwriting contributions. Notably, the amount she mentioned—64, 272 trillion won (approximately $4.5 billion)—raised eyebrows due to its staggering nature, surpassing South Korea’s entire gross domestic product.

D-Nation’s Clarifications

D-Nation Entertainment reassured information-seekers by stating that the document shared on social media had not been formally submitted to any authorities. The agency further insisted, “All settlements related to Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities have already been completed, and there is no record that the complaint uploaded to social media was ever filed.”

The agency also mentioned that Park Bom has suspended all of her professional activities since August to focus on her health and recovery. D-Nation expressed its commitment to supporting her during this challenging period.

Subsequent Developments

Following the initial post, Park Bom deleted the image but later reposted it, augmenting it with a message that read, “Park Bom hates YG. Dear beloved citizens who use the internet, please look thoroughly into what YG did to Park Bom. Thank you.”She also included a lighthearted image featuring her dog, which created further ambiguity regarding her emotional and mental well-being.

YG Entertainment’s Silence

As of now, YG Entertainment has not issued an official response to these allegations, leaving the situation largely in the hands of Park Bom’s agency. This incident has inevitably raised concerns about Park Bom’s wellness, especially since she had previously withdrawn from activities related to the 2NE1 reunion. Additionally, in her controversial post, she inadvertently revealed her personal phone number, prompting fans to express their worry for her mental state across social media platforms.
