Cyberpunk 2077’s New Dynamic Car Paints, Enhanced Character Customizations, and Photo Mode Features

Exciting New Features Arrive in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2

As CD Projekt RED continues its journey with sequels and new projects, the studio is not neglecting Cyberpunk 2077. In a recent update, fans were treated to an informative REDstream revealing the latest enhancements coming to Night City through Update 2.2, which is now live.

Dynamic Car Customization and Character Enhancements

This update introduces the all-new CrystalCoat color customization feature, allowing players to personalize their vehicles—specifically the Herrera, Mizutani, Quadra, and Villefort models. This system enables players to change vehicle colors on the fly and save their favorite presets. Additionally, players can now mimic the colors of cars seen on the road, providing a strategic edge during police pursuits by enabling them to strategically alter their car’s color to evade capture.

Another exciting addition is the chance for Johnny Silverhand to ride alongside players, appearing approximately 25% of the time during vehicle travel. This beloved character interacts dynamically with players based on their driving style. Keep in mind, however, that if the car already has a passenger or if combat ensues, Johnny will choose to leave the vehicle.

  • Precise Camera (ON/OFF) feature to enhance aim accuracy.
  • Custom aspect ratios available for PC users; console players default to a standard 16:9 format.

  • A Lighting tab to create and modify light sources for a unique atmosphere.
  • Eliminated the previous Depth of Field ghosting issue.
  • An Effect Intensity slider for fine-tuning visual styles.

Players can further personalize their experience by displaying screenshots taken from photo mode inside their apartments using new Smart Frames, which vary in number and size by individual apartment types.
