
Exciting New Features in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3
Despite CD Projekt RED’s assertion that they are finished with Cyberpunk 2077, the game’s developers continue to release substantial updates. The latest, Update 2.3, promises a plethora of enhancements including new vehicles, gameplay features, and significant performance improvements. This update coincides with the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 for macOS, setting the stage for an exciting expansion for all platforms.
Performance Enhancements for Players
One of the highlights of this update is the introduction of AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) for users of AMD Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards. This cutting-edge upscaling technology will become activated once a forthcoming AMD graphics driver is released, although a specific date for this driver has yet to be announced.
In addition to FSR 4, CD Projekt RED has upgraded AMD’s frame generation capabilities to FSR 3.1, enhancing both stability and visual fidelity. This update allows players to benefit from any available upscalers, including NVIDIA’s DLSS
and Intel’s XeSS
. Moreover, the update includes XeSS 2.0 with frame generation support, further improving performance guidelines. Console gamers will also enjoy the inclusion of Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, providing a smoother gaming experience.

New Gameplay Innovations
In terms of gameplay, Update 2.3 introduces an innovative AutoDrive functionality, allowing players to take a break while their vehicles autonomously navigate to selected map markers. Furthermore, a new Delamine taxi service will be available for players to summon from anywhere at a small cost. To enhance the experience, a cinematic camera mode will be provided for both the AutoDrive and taxi features.
Additionally, four brand-new vehicles are set to join the game alongside new side jobs that players can undertake to unlock them, enriching the immersive experience within Night City.
