Cyberpunk 2077’s New Patch 2.31: Enhancements and Fixes Across Platforms

CD Projekt Red has rolled out a significant update for Cyberpunk 2077, with the latest Patch 2.31 now available on both PC and consoles. This update introduces an array of new features, including notable enhancements to AutoDrive, adjustments to Photo Mode, and a variety of much-needed fixes to the gaming experience.

Enhanced AutoDrive and Free Roam Functionality

One of the standout features of Patch 2.31 is a complete overhaul of the AutoDrive system. Vehicles now navigate the bustling streets of Night City more fluidly, adeptly overtaking obstructive cars and bypassing traffic lights when en route to a designated location. Additionally, the Free Roam mode has been fine-tuned to obey local traffic laws, resulting in a more immersive and believable interaction with the game world.

Photo Mode Improvements

Players can also look forward to enhanced capabilities in Photo Mode. This update introduces a variety of new poses, compatible across all gender models, thus expanding creative options for players. NPC collisions in this mode have been disabled, allowing for unobstructed photography within the game’s vibrant environments.

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

Alongside gameplay enhancements, the patch addresses numerous quests and open-world issues, as well as localization errors. Players will appreciate new features such as a toggle to disable vignette effects. The patch specifically targets several issues for PC and Mac users, such as the accidental disabling of NVIDIA Reflex when DLSS Frame Generation is enabled and problems with ray tracing not activating under certain scenarios. Stability and performance improvements are also included to deliver a smoother gameplay experience.

Availability Across Platforms

Cyberpunk 2077 is widely accessible, currently available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
