The expansive universe of Cyberpunk 2077 is rich with engaging side quests that provide players with a variety of missions, often referred to as “gigs.” Most of these quests are one-off encounters initiated by fixers or notable NPCs that direct you into multiple storylines.
One notable deviation from this structure is the NCPD Reported Crimes, which consist of quick encounter quests scattered throughout Night City. Participating in these missions allows players to earn credits, acquire loot, and build their reputation through combat with various enemies.
Today’s focus will be on the ‘You Play with Fire…’ Reported Crime quest in Cyberpunk 2077. Join me as I guide you on how to locate and successfully complete this encounter and discuss its significance in recent updates.
Locating the “You Play With Fire…”Reported Crime
To initiate this Reported Crime, you’ll need to head to the designated waypoint marked on your map.This location is found in the Charter Hill area, situated in Westbrook, right in front of an H-shaped building.
It’s crucial to note that you must be in Act 2 of Cyberpunk 2077, specifically after beginning or completing the ‘Playing for Time’ quest, to access NCPD Crime events.
The primary focus is not the building itself, but rather the courtyard or park area located in front. Here, you will encounter a group of enemies to engage with, so it’s wise to avoid barreling into the area with an unarmed vehicle.
Eliminate the adversaries using your preferred combat method; the approach you take is less important than the goal of looting one specific enemy for the Archived Conversation: Zeitgeist and Jorge shard, as indicated in the image above.
Successfully looting this shard will activate the “You Play With Fire…”Reported Crime, leading you to your next objective: travel to Zeitgeist’s Den to investigate remnants of a scorched Netrunner.
Completing the “You Play With Fire…”Reported Crime
Interestingly, the location of this subsequent NCPD crime event is conveniently positioned directly across the street from the courtyard where you collected the shard. It truly is just a few steps away within the compound, as shown in the image.
As you enter the Zeitgeist’s Den, prepare to encounter additional enemies. However, defeating these foes is optional for the completion of the Reported Crime event.
Proceed into the building indicated by the objective marker, where you will need to collect the List of Tasks shard located within a loot box. Doing so will successfully wrap up the “You Play With Fire” Reported Crime.
One of the main incentives for completing this brief encounter is that it acts as a prerequisite for unlocking one of the exciting vehicle missions introduced in the recent version 2.3 update, specifically the quest related to the Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa.
