Introducing The Ripatorium: A Customizable Arena Experience
The Ripatorium stands out with its innovative encounter manager, allowing players to tailor enemy spawns to their liking. From hordes of imps and soldiers to formidable Pinky Riders and Hell Knights, the arena can be filled with a variety of adversaries. However, a capacity cap is implemented to maintain a balanced and engaging gameplay experience.
Players can further modify the arena settings to create either an endless mode or a timed survival challenge. Customization options include selecting respawn counts for the Slayer, timing for enemy waves, choosing fodder enemy types, and even curating the soundtrack to accompany the chaos. At launch, The Ripatorium features three distinct arenas: City of Ry’uul, Village of Khalim, and Harbor of Souls.
Additional Features in the Latest Update
Beyond The Ripatorium, this update introduces a benchmark mode for Doom: The Dark Ages, which facilitates quick looping through various levels. Gamers will also appreciate the addition of a new difficulty modifier menu and a slider for adjusting the Parry and Melee slow-motion effects, alongside enhancements to audio for a more immersive combat experience.
Moreover, players can anticipate improved weapon swap animations that can be interrupted for swift shield blocks and parries, adding an extra layer of strategy to combat.
