Current champion takes a shot at Jade Cargill after electrifying debut on SmackDown

Former AEW wrestler Jade Cargill made her first appearance on SmackDown this week and defeated a member of Damage CTRL. As a result, Asuka, who is currently one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, directed a message towards Cargill.

This week, the SmackDown women’s roster welcomed a new member in Cargill. During her introduction to the WWE Universe by General Manager Nick Aldis, it was announced that she would now be an exclusive member of the blue brand. The 31-year-old also took the opportunity to address the fans on the mic, declaring that she was a force to be reckoned with on Friday nights and putting the entire women’s division on notice.

Despite the debut of the new star, Asuka remained unimpressed. She took to X/Twitter to express her thoughts on the debut, teasing Cargill’s “storm”promo and confidently declaring herself to be a Category 5 Mega Thunderstorm. The Empress of Tomorrow made it clear that she could potentially pose a challenge for the former AEW star in the future.

“It is a Category 1 storm, But I’m a Category 5 Mega Thunderstorm 🫵😈”

Confirmed: Jade Cargill to make WrestleMania debut

This year at WrestleMania, Jade Cargill, the latest addition to the SmackDown roster, will make a spectacular debut. Alongside former Women’s Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi, she will team up to face off against Damage CTRL in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match.

Following her exciting debut on SmackDown this week, Cargill also had the chance to display her in-ring abilities. During the main event of SmackDown, when Damage CTRL was brutally attacking Belair and Naomi, Jade quickly rushed to the ring to come to their aid.

By herself, she easily defeated the members of Damage CTRL, forcing them to leave the ring. Her involvement in this rivalry guarantees that the EST of WWE will have ample support in her fight against the malicious group.

It will be intriguing to observe how the power dynamics shift on SmackDown following the inclusion of Jade Cargill.
