  • Detach Charms from weapons using a Charm Detachment, which returns the Charm to your inventory for reuse.
  • Redeeming a Charm from the Armory provides three free Charm Detachments. Additional Detachments can be purchased.

Inventory and Item Changes in CS2 Patch Notes

  • All items obtained through the in-game store (including the Armory), Trade Offers, and Steam Community Market now have a 7-day restriction on re-trading and re-listing.
  • Stickers, patches, and charms available on the Steam Community Market, in the Armory, or through friends’ Steam Inventory can now be previewed on your inventory items.
  • The option to remove weapon cases from your inventory has been eliminated.
  • A sticker scrape level selector has been introduced when applying new stickers to weapons.
  • Precision sticker wear level options added for scraping existing stickers. Applied stickers can only increase their scrape level.
  • Improvements allow for immediate removal of existing stickers from inventory weapons in addition to scraping.
  • A nametag module preview is now available when applying nametags on items.
  • Fixed several issues where applying nametags or stickers would inadvertently unequip the weapon from your loadout.
  • Customizing a currently equipped base weapon will now automatically equip the newly customized version.

Animation Changes in CS2 Patch Notes

  • Character posing has been improved on steep slopes.
  • Feet pinning logic has been altered for all scenarios to reduce exaggerated leaning issues (often referred to as the MJ lean).
  • Pin/unpin IK logic remains unaffected by poor server ping times.
  • Feet IK repositions to the idle pose if pinned feet differ significantly from the authorized pose.
  • Run, walk, and crouch animations have been re-authored to correct scissor leg posing during movement.
  • Ladder animations have been modified so that character heads align more accurately with the player camera, including proper crouch displays on ladders.
  • Removed animation popping when crouching or uncrouching mid-jump and reduced leaning in jumping animations.
  • Corrected character pose popping that occurred when falling from ledges.
  • Fixed multiple incidents of character pose popping during traversal with slow-moving weapons.

Gameplay Changes in CS2 Patch Notes

  • Flashbangs and HE grenades will no longer detonate prematurely after exceeding their ‘stuck bounce’ limit.

Graphics Changes in CS2 Patch Notes

  • A Display selection dropdown has been added for non-windowed Fullscreen mode in the Video settings.
  • Graphics artifacts affecting fire effects in the Advanced Video settings have been resolved.

Audio Changes in CS2 Patch Notes

  • A bug where UI sounds would not position correctly while in-game has been fixed.
  • Resolved an issue where step sounds for the local player would play but fail to broadcast to other players, and vice versa.
  • Fixed ragdoll water splash sounds erroneously playing for alive players.
  • Resolved issues where voice chat malfunctioned on community servers.
  • Addressed cases where incoming voice chats would occasionally not close properly.

Networking Changes in CS2 Patch Notes

  • Telemetry options are now available to graph network jitter and misdelivery statistics.
  • Modification of how packet misdelivery is gauged: previously, out-of-order packets were miscounted even if corrected. The new method accurately counts misdelivered packets only if they impact gameplay. High network jitter now counts toward packet misdelivery, even if packets are not dropped but disrupt gameplay.
