The seventh season of Love is Blind has captivated audiences as they witness each contestant’s journey, beginning with intimate conversations in the pods and culminating in wedding arrangements. The ninth episode, titled “Is Love Enough?”, premiered on Netflix on October 9, 2024.
In this latest episode, couples gathered to meet each other’s families and engage in discussions about their future plans. A highlight of the episode featured Garrett and Taylor as they navigated the concerns raised by their parents regarding their upcoming wedding.
During a heartfelt dinner, Garrett expressed his worries about potentially not receiving Taylor’s father’s blessing. He conveyed how devastating it would be for him if her dad disapproved of the marriage, stating:
“I know how much it means to get your father’s blessing. Your parent’s blessing and just the possibility of not getting it scares the sh*t out of me because I just wanna be with you so bad. So it just crushes me to think about it.”
Despite the uncertainty surrounding approval from his own parents, Garrett remained resolute in his desire to marry Taylor.

“We just have to hope that we can convince our parents that we are of sound mind and that this is real, and that the love I feel is real. And this person, the love they feel is real. That they are the right person for me.”
Taylor revealed her anxiety over Garrett meeting her father, elaborating on why her dad preferred a private discussion with him away from the cameras. When the moment came for Garrett to propose, Taylor emphasized:
“To meet you in person, know that you’re real, see that I’m okay, see how I actually feel, spend more time with the person who would be my husband. Having you ask for my hand in marriage, it’s gonna make all the difference.”
Should Taylor’s father decline to give his blessing, Garrett expressed understanding toward her parent’s position, stating:
“I wouldn’t blame him. He doesn’t know me, he doesn’t know us.”
