Could Triple H make last-minute change to WrestleMania 40 match? Exploring the possibility
Triple H and the team at WWE are currently in the process of finalizing the lineup for WrestleMania 40. One highly anticipated match that has been confirmed as a main event for the second night of the premium live event is the showdown between Drew McIntyre and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins.
Despite successfully defending his title against The Scottish Warrior on WWE RAW: Day 1 in the past, The Architect faces another difficult challenge. The ongoing rivalry between the two superstars has continued to escalate, but a new development arose when CM Punk returned to Chicago and revealed he will be a guest commentator for their upcoming match.
Despite rumors that The Best In the World would be the special guest referee for the match, adding to his ongoing rivalry with Rollins and McIntyre, this has not yet come to fruition. However, Punk himself has expressed his desire to take on the role of special guest referee.
“I would like to maybe try my hand out as a referee. But, I wouldn’t be able to be impartial with both these idiots, so maybe commentary is the best thing to do,”CM Punk told Cathy Kelley on the March 25 episode of Monday Night RAW.
The likelihood of a potential change is heightened by the fact that Punk has shown animosity towards both Rollins and McIntyre since his comeback. It has been reported that there is a strong possibility of a feud between Punk and one of these superstars upon his return from injury, with the potential for the rivalry to begin at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
As Monday’s RAW before WrestleMania 40 approaches, there is currently no indication that CM Punk will be a guest referee for the match. However, it is always possible for things to shift, especially since all three superstars are scheduled to appear on the show.
Triple H Supports Raw Superstars’ Creative Freedom in Memorable Segment
It can be observed that Triple H is implementing changes in WWE, as evidenced by the Monday Night RAW segment featuring CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins.
According to reports, the three superstars delivered a compelling promo, deviating from the script on multiple occasions. However, McIntyre hinted in a recent interview that The Game did not have any objections to their actions.
“Basically, the whole thing, if it felt uncomfortable, it’s because there was an outline and it’s three guys going out there who may not like each other and may have personal feelings, but also are good at their job and we go out there and tear into each other verbally without it on a piece of paper because it’s stupid writing everything down to deliver it to a live audience,”McIntyre said (H/T – Fightful).
CM Punk’s RAW promo shocks WWE management with explicit language
During his RAW promo with Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, CM Punk deviated from the planned script on a few occasions. The Best of The World engaged in a heated exchange of words with both superstars, not holding back from using profanity.
Despite being advised to limit their use of cursing during live shows, Triple H and WWE management were caught off guard by the incident. However, it has been reported that neither The Game nor any other WWE executive held any grudges against CM Punk following the incident.
Keeping this in mind, the events of this coming Monday are yet to be determined, as the biggest names in the industry will be in attendance for the last RAW before WrestleMania 40.
