The Arrow Lake series, particularly its desktop variants, has struggled in the gaming arena against AMD’s offerings. However, when it comes to laptop processors, the situation shifts favorably, especially for models equipped with robust integrated graphics. The integrated graphics of the Arrow Lake-H processors, powered by the Battlemage architecture, prove effective, with the Arc 140T in higher-end configurations and the Arc 130T in entry-level models like the Core Ultra 5 225H demonstrating commendable gaming capabilities.

Leveraging a higher core count and a hybrid architecture, even the entry-level 225H provides stiff competition to AMD’s budget and mid-range solutions, like the Ryzen AI 7 350. The 225H is increasingly featured in various laptops, such as the Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5, which also has an AMD variant featuring the Ryzen AI 7 350, an impressive 8-core/16-thread APU built on the Zen 5 architecture. Recently, Chinese reviewer “Geekerwan”conducted a head-to-head benchmark comparison of these processors across various synthetic and gaming tests.

In a majority of benchmark tests, the Core Ultra 5 225H and Ryzen AI 7 350 exhibited comparable results. While the Ultra 5 225H edged out in certain benchmarks, the Ryzen AI 7 350 demonstrated its strength in others.
