A recent review conducted by Bulls Lab, a Korean tech reviewer, showcased the capabilities of the Intel Core Ultra 3 205, a key member of the Arrow Lake-S series. This evaluation highlights how the processor compares to budget alternatives within Intel’s Arrow Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh lineups.

The reviewer opted for an economical H810 chipset motherboard, ideal for entry-level applications. The Core Ultra 3 205 exhibited remarkable improvements over the Core i3 14100, achieving approximately 48% greater multi-threaded scores in Cinebench R23. In terms of single-thread performance, it scored a robust 1983 points in the same benchmark, marking a substantial 16% increase compared to its predecessor.

This performance increase mirrors the improvements seen when comparing the Core Ultra 5 225 with the Core i5 14400. The generational gains are commendable, especially regarding the single-core performance, which rivals that of the higher-tier Core Ultra 5 225. The Core Ultra 3 205 reaches speeds of nearly 4.7 GHz on the P-Core and exceeds 4.3 GHz on the E-Core, showcasing impressive capabilities.

Furthermore, the processor’s integrated GPU (iGPU) performed admirably in graphical tasks, scoring 1125 points in 3DMark Time Spy—an impressive 75% improvement over the i3 14100.

While the iGPU may not suffice for high-demand gaming titles, it delivers smooth gameplay for less intensive games such as DOTA and Valorant. The iGPU maintains a stable clock speed of 1800 MHz, and CPU utilization ranges from 40% to 60% in these situations. However, when pushed to more demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, CPU usage can spike close to 90% when paired with a dedicated GPU.
