Upcoming Features of Copilot Vision for Windows 11
As we continue to anticipate the introduction of new functionalities for Windows 11, Microsoft has taken proactive steps by enhancing Copilot Vision. The latest enhancements empower users to interact more effectively with applications, allowing guided assistance to complete tasks seamlessly.
Interactive Task Guidance with Copilot Vision
With the recent updates, users can now share specific application windows with Copilot and request assistance on various tasks. For instance, if you need help enabling the night light feature, you can grant access to the Settings app and receive tailored guidance. Similarly, if you’re working in Clipchamp and need to add text to a video, Copilot can streamline the process:
Highlights: Whenever you share a browser or application window using Copilot Vision, it can provide navigational support and coaching to help you complete your task. By simply requesting “show me how, ” Copilot will visually indicate where to click within the shared interface. Initially, this functionality operates with a single application, and users can halt the highlights functionality by pressing the stop button to revert to their standard Copilot session.

Enhanced Multitasking with Dual-Application Support
Additionally, Copilot Vision now extends its capabilities by allowing simultaneous access to two applications. This significant upgrade enables users to analyze content across apps, making it easier to compare documents or lists. For example, you can juxtapose your packing list for a backpacking trip with an online source and inquire, “Is there anything missing from my packing list, compared to the online list?”
2-App Support: The latest version of Copilot Vision permits sharing of two applications at once, allowing for cross-app analysis and interaction. This feature is useful for those looking for insights and detailed answers about the content in either shared application. To use this feature, simply click the glasses icon in the Composer toolbar, select the windows you wish to share, and ask Copilot for assistance. Ending the sharing session is as simple as pressing ‘Stop’ or ‘X’ within the Composer.
Availability of Copilot Vision Updates
The new functionalities of Copilot Vision are currently being rolled out to Windows Insiders in version 1.25044.92 and higher. While the update is applicable across all channels, features such as highlights and dual-app support are initially limited to the United States. Note that this rollout is gradual, thus not all users will receive these updates simultaneously.
If you wish to disable this feature, it can be done by modifying the system registry settings.
