On October 8, Sports Seoul announced that Lee Je-hoon, Pyo Ye-jin, and Kim Eui-sung have officially signed on to reprise their roles in the upcoming Taxi Driver 3. While the production of the third installment was confirmed back in April of last year, the cast’s participation had remained ambiguous.

The report highlights that the trio from the earlier seasons — Lee Je-hoon, Pyo Ye-jin, and Kim Eui-sung — is set to return. The Taxi Driver series is based on a popular webtoon that follows Rainbow Transport, a covert taxi service that seeks justice for victims who have been wronged.

Taxi Driver 3: Cast, Synopsis, and More

Lee Je-hoon will return as Kim Do-gi, a former special forces member who now leads the vengeance missions for Rainbow Transport. In previous seasons, his character took on various identities, including Wang Da-o-ji, Jeon Won-do-gi, and Mudang-do-gi.

Kim Eui-sung will also be back as Jang Seong-cheol, the head of the Blue Bird Foundation, an organization that offers support to crime victims and is the strategic brain behind the operations of Rainbow Transport. Pyo Ye-jin will reprise her role as Ahn Go-eun, the talented hacker in this secretive organization.

The second season of Taxi Driver reportedly shattered its viewership records, eclipsing the first season’s peak with an impressive top rating of 20.9%, according to Nielsen Korea’s nationwide statistics. Furthermore, the second season gained significant international acclaim.

Within just ten days post-release, the drama reached the top ranking in 16 countries on Viu, Asia’s premier OTT platform. It also sustained the highest position on the charts for Korean dramas, achieving an impressive score of 8.8 on MyDramaList, a globally recognized drama review platform.
