Comprehensive Guide to Unlocking Bond Ranks and Abilities in Metaphor ReFantazio Neuras

In the RPG Metaphor ReFantazio, players will encounter various prevalent features from the genre, including team dynamics, character progression, and much more. One of the key systems in the game is the “Bond Rank,”which allows players to enhance their party members by deepening their connections.

While engaging in dialogue can improve Bond Rank, certain characters, like More, necessitate the completion of specific quests to elevate their rank further.

To advance Neuras’ Bond Ranks, players need to collect specific relics. Clues directing to these relics can be found in a notebook aboard the Gauntlet Runner. Additionally, Gallica will assist players by notifying them when a relic is located in a dungeon they are about to explore.

The criteria for unlocking Neuras’ Bond Ranks and the associated rewards are as follows:

Rank 1: Locate the Glass Relic in Komero Village, which completes the “Providing a Spark”quest. Unlocks Gunner Archetype, enabling the party to study the Gunner lineage.

Rank 2: Find the Screwed-Up Mineral in the Man-Eater’s Grotto. Unlocks Bombardier, causing enemies to take damage when battles begin on the Gauntlet Runner deck, and Gunner Enlightenment, which lowers the MAG costs associated with studying the Gunner lineage.

Rank 3: Discover the Gypsum Cube in the Tomb of Lament. Unlocks Gunner Archetype: Adept for studying the Sniper.

Rank 4: Locate the Mossy Pillar Relic in the Land of Ceremony. Unlocks Scion’s Skill (Gunner), expanding the skill inheritance slots for the Gunner lineage to two.

Rank 5: Find the Parquet Chest in Scoundrel’s Hold. Unlocks Bombastic Bombardier for greater enemy damage when battles start on the Gauntlet Runner deck and Gunner Veneration, significantly reducing MAG costs for Gunner lineage studies.

Rank 6: Locate the Stitched Sphere relic in Mt. Vulkano. Unlocks Scion’s Merit (Gunner), further increasing skill inheritance slots for the Gunner lineage to three.

Rank 7: Find the Panhandled Ore in the Everfrost Forest. Unlocks Seedling Synergy, raising the number of harvestable plants in the Plant Culture Chamber by one.

Rank 8: The eighth relic’s location is initially listed as “Area Unknown”until reaching Rank 6 with Neuras. Upon reaching this rank, he will guide players to a dungeon where they must defeat a formidable foe to claim the final relic. This milestone unlocks Gunner Archetype: Elite, allowing the party to study the Dragoon and Scion’s Essence (Gunner), increasing skill inheritance slots for the Gunner lineage to four.
