Overview of the Bee Swarm Event in Grow a Garden
The Bee Swarm event features the introduction of a new Queen Bee NPC, prominently located in the central area of the game. To her left, players can find a honeycomb displaying a timer that indicates when the next bee swarm will start. On her right, there’s the honey combpressor, which includes a diligent little worker bee inside.
During this event, a bee swarm occurs every hour, lasting for about 10 minutes. This swarm brings an influx of bees that hover over your plots, significantly increasing the likelihood of obtaining the new pollinated mutation for your crops.
The Queen Bee NPC will ask for honey as part of the Bizzy Bees event, but earning it isn’t a one-way street. In exchange for your honey, she offers a variety of items, including exciting new seed packs. Here’s how you can participate:
- First, equip the pollinated harvest in your hand and interact with the honey combpressor by pressing
E. - This action will submit your harvest into the combpressor, filling the honey bottle located beneath the tap.
- To fill the bottle completely and secure 10 honey, you’ll need a total of 10 kg of harvested produce. You can monitor this quantity on the counter situated just above the combpressor.
- Once you’ve gathered enough honey, approach the Queen Bee and select the ‘I want to trade honey‘ option.
This interaction opens the exclusive honey shop available only during the Bizzy Bees update, where you can purchase various seed packs, cosmetics, and other items.
Mutations Available During the Bee Swarm Event
This update bears similarity to the Night event in Grow a Garden, as the bee swarm occurs hourly. During this time, you have the chance of achieving the pollinated mutation on any random fruit in your garden, maximizing its sale value by three times.
Remember, don’t rush to sell your pollinated mutation harvest! You’ll need these for converting into honey, which is crucial for trading for honey eggs, seeds, cosmetic items, and more.Consider growing more multi-harvest plants in your garden, particularly those like bamboo, moon melons, and beanstalks that yield heavy harvests.
In addition to the pollinated mutation, players can also obtain the HoneyGlazed mutation. While there isn’t a specific trigger event for this mutation, placing the Bear Bee pet in your field or acquiring a Honey Sprinkler from the honey shop will enable it. The Bear Bee has a chance of pollinating crops and applying the HoneyGlazed mutation, while the Honey Sprinkler can do so for all crops within its range for one minute.

After gathering a substantial amount of honey by submitting your pollinated fruits, it’s time to visit the new exclusive shop available through the Queen Bee NPC. As noted, you only gain access by selecting to trade with her.
