The Fasnacht Day event stands out as one of the most beloved seasonal activities in Fallout 76. This engaging event invites players to Helvetia every hour, enabling them to assist a collection of quirky but endearing robots as they undertake their march through the town. Participants will face adversaries, gather various random items, and ensure the safe passage of these robots in order to earn enticing rewards.
While the regular loot is appreciated by players, the real draw for many is the chance to acquire one of the rare Fasnacht Masks. This guide provides a comprehensive overview of what you need to know to successfully navigate this limited-time event.
Preparing for the March

Fasnacht Day kicks off automatically at the start of each hour. As a public event, it’s free for all players to join. Your first task involves helping five selected robots prepare for their parade. Notably, among the eight robots available, only five will be chosen randomly for each event. To initiate the event, approach the Master of Ceremonies. After interacting with him, you will need to locate and assist the five robots. The following table outlines their names, locations, and what assistance they require:
Robot | Location | Requirements |
---|---|---|
Cheerful Beekeeper | The Honey House | Defeat 3 Honey Beasts |
Convivial Historian | The Helvetia Museum | Submit 10 Old Fasnacht Steins |
Gleeful Butcher | The First Floor of the Red Hotel | Provide 12 Intestines |
Happy Candlemaker | The Post Office | Supply 10 Beeswax |
Jolly Baker | Freyja’s Haus Restaurant | Deliver 20 Radtoad Eggs |
Joyous Musician | The Band Stand | Play Musical Instruments |
Jubilant Decorator | The Town Hall | Place 4 Decorations in the Barn |
Merry Woodsman | Outside the Church | Provide 50 Wood |
As you assist each robot, it will head toward the starting point of the march, located outside the Post Office. Once all five robots are prepared and positioned at the start, the Master of Ceremonies will officially kick off the march.
Protecting the Robots

As soon as the march commences, your next responsibility is to safeguard the robots from three distinct attacks. The first wave occurs at the end of the bridge near Freyja’s Haus Restaurant, where a horde of Radtoads will attempt to overrun the robots. Be prepared to collaborate with fellow players to address threats from all directions.
Once the Radtoads are defeated, the march continues into the town’s center. This second wave poses a greater challenge, featuring multiple attacks from Super Mutants, including Suiciders and Mutant Hounds. The Mutant Hounds can inflict considerable damage, while the Suiciders explode if they get too close to the robots. Taking refuge on a nearby rooftop can provide a strategic vantage point to spot incoming enemies.
After successfully neutralizing the second wave, the robots will progress to their final destination: the bonfire outside the church. Here, a mix of wolves, insects, and a boss enemy will spawn. The exact nature of the boss varies, but expect it to always be a 1-star legendary foe. Once this final wave is dealt with, the Master of Ceremonies will deliver a brief speech, and you will conclude the event by lighting the bonfire.
