In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players can uncover a variety of intriguing side missions by engaging with non-playable characters (NPCs) scattered throughout the expansive open world. A key NPC is a stalker named Mytryk, who tasks the protagonist, Skif, with recovering his lost firearm from underground tunnels teeming with Rodent mutants. What begins as a simple retrieval mission soon unfolds into a complex narrative filled with unexpected twists.
Initiating the Uninvited Guests Side Mission
To kick off the Uninvited Guests side quest, players should locate Mytryk Genius, who can be found inside a small building in the Concrete Forest area of the Cement Factory region. Upon interacting with Mytryk, he reveals that his weapon has been misplaced in the underground tunnels, and he enlists Skif’s help to recover it. Accepting this task sets the adventure in motion as Mytryk leads Skif to the tunnel entrance.
Retrieving Mytryk Genius’ Gun from the Tunnels
Following Mytryk into the tunnels, players will encounter the entrance and must descend into the dark depths. Upon entering, a horde of Rodent mutants will be waiting. Skif can choose to battle these foes or continue towards the primary objective. Players should navigate down the right path until they reach an underground facility, where they will need to confront two formidable Burers that block their way. After defeating them, ascend the stairs to find Mytryk’s gun, known as “Decider,” located to the left.
Completing the Uninvited Guests quest involves returning to Mytryk and handing over the gun, rewarding Skif with some Coupons. However, if players prefer to keep the powerful “Decider”assault rifle, they must pursue an additional task.
Finding Eight-Ball’s Body & Confronting Mytryk (Optional)
After securing the gun, players should venture back down, where they’ll discover a body near some wooden pallets. Investigating this corpse yields a PDA that identifies the victim as Eight-Ball. The PDA further uncovers that Mytryk had followed Eight-Ball to his stash, ultimately leaving him to face the mutants alone.
Armed with this information, players can return to Mytryk and confront him about his actions concerning Eight-Ball’s fate. Instead of relinquishing the “Decider”weapon, opt for the “I’m Keeping It”dialogue option. This choice not only rewards players with the unique Fora-221 “Decider”assault rifle but also serves as a moral lesson to Mytryk about the consequences of betrayal among fellow stalkers.
