Astro Bot continues to captivate players, as it prepares to unveil another exciting installment of free downloadable content (DLC) stages in early 2025, following its success as the 2024 Game of the Year. This latest addition comprises five new stages, kicking off with the debut of Tick-Tock Shock.
In line with previous DLC releases, players can look forward to unlocking a unique Cameo Bot upon successfully completing Tick-Tock Shock. Additionally, gamers can monitor their personal best times via an in-game leaderboard, enabling them to compare their performance against other avid players.
Strategies for Conquering Tick-Tock Shock

When diving into the Tick-Tock Shock stage, players don’t need to rush through the course as they did in previous DLC stages; this allows for a more relaxed initial exploration. Taking the time to familiarize themselves with the stage layout can be beneficial for ensuring a smooth completion.

The initial segments of the course are straightforward. Players should slide down the slope and utilize the stopwatch feature to decelerate the swift fish obstacles, making it easier to reach a red platform occupied by three electric foes. As soon as they cross, it’s advisable to deactivate the stopwatch to allow it to recharge for future use.

Following some platforming, players encounter a card-throwing enemy reminiscent of those found in the Slo-Mo Casino stage. Timing is crucial; players should activate the stopwatch right after the cards are thrown, enabling them to navigate across these card platforms to reach another snow-covered area, which houses additional electric enemies and a flower petal collectible.

Players should jump and press Square to gain altitude, reaching a red platform guarded by a spiky enemy. Proceeding ahead requires crossing several ice blocks while again employing the stopwatch to navigate through the fish adversaries effectively. As before, disabling the stopwatch promptly can expedite its cooldown, optimizing gameplay.

Next, players must maneuver past seeds launched by a pumpkin enemy while utilizing the stopwatch to traverse one of two card trails. Direction doesn’t impact the outcome, but precision timing is vital. Following this, players will jump over electric foes and activate the stopwatch again to slow the windmill blades, eventually riding the flower petal to victory.
Unlocking the Tick-Tock Shock Cameo Bot

Upon conquering Tick-Tock Shock, players will receive the Iron Patriarch Cameo Bot, a nod to the beloved character Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series. Furthermore, by visiting the Gatcha Lab at the Crash Site, players have the opportunity to obtain the Junior Bodyguard accessory, inspired by Kuma, Heihachi’s trusted companion. It’s exciting to note that Heihachi and Kuma are not the sole representatives of the Tekken franchise in Astro Bot, with Kazuya’s Cameo Bot also featured in the Birdy Barrage stage.
