In Tormented Souls 2, players are greeted with a wealth of foreboding and intricate puzzles that build on the legacy of its award-winning predecessor. One of the most memorable and unsettling challenges is the Stretcher puzzle. This particular puzzle requires players to engage with a historical torture device to uncover a critical item. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to solve the Stretcher puzzle in Tormented Souls 2.
Finding the Stretcher Puzzle

The Stretcher puzzle resides within the Torture Museum area of the convent. To access this specific section, you must first unlock the adjacent Museum area. The entrance is secured with a unique mechanism that can only be opened using the Museum Key, which you receive from Joseph after delivering him the Cursed Book found in the Prison area.

Upon entering the Museum, navigate down the stairs. The Torture Museum area is accessible through a door located in the top left corner of the lower level. Here, you will encounter the Stretcher device, ominously positioned at the center of the main room, featuring a corpse secured in it, and a large crank used for its grim purpose.
While you can interact with this device, solving it isn’t straightforward. Instead, you must first venture to the Other Side to complete the necessary steps.
Solving the Stretcher Puzzle

To tackle the Stretcher puzzle, your initial task is to solve the Teleport Mirror puzzle found in a room just downstairs from the Stretcher device. Completing this will activate the mirror, allowing Caroline to cross over to the Other Side (often referred to as “Hell”).

Once you arrive on the Other Side, move into the adjoining room. Here, you will discover an alternate version of the Stretcher—this time with a scarecrow instead of a corpse. To solve the puzzle, interact with the device and turn the crank to stretch the scarecrow until it bursts.

After completing this gruesome task, return through the mirror to the normal world. Head back to the original Stretcher device, where you will find the corpse similarly split. Now, you can interact with the body to retrieve the embedded item: a Metal Pipe.
While exploring the Other Side, don’t forget to collect various consumables available in the Museum and seek out the alternate version of the Angel Statue, as it is crucial for completing another related puzzle.
