Locating the Chained Man Puzzle in Tormented Souls 2
The Chained Man puzzle can be found within the depths of the Mall, accessible only after you navigate through the Convent area and into the main town. Ensure that you complete critical tasks in the Convent, including acquiring the missable Shotgun. Once in the Mall, descend to the basement level, where the gruesome sight of the Chained Man awaits.
To find the Chained Man, navigate to the walkway immediately adjacent to the Video Rental Store on the lower level. He is hard to miss as you approach the area marked on the map.
Steps to Solve the Chained Man Puzzle in Tormented Souls 2
The Chained Man puzzle necessitates multiple movements around the Mall, making it a good idea to tackle this puzzle last in the section before progress towards the Processing Plant area.
Your first objective is to enter the dojo gym located on the second floor of the Mall. To unlock it, you must retrieve the Dojo Key from the Pharmacy Fridge puzzle on the first floor. Once armed with the key, proceed into the dojo and head toward the bathroom at the back.
In the restroom, you will find a Box Cutter positioned in the center of a drawn circle on the tile floor. Collect it as it will prove essential for the next steps.
Next, utilize the Box Cutter to free the duct tape from a ringing pay phone outside on the street. Answer the call and grab the Coins that dispense from the bottom. Afterward, head back into the Mall and make your way to the Amusement Arcade located on the basement level.
At the arcade, find the claw machine filled with teddy bears. Insert your Coins to play, directing the claw toward the teddy bear on the far right, particularly the one missing an eye. Use the claw’s pink light to position it correctly and grab the plush toy.
After securing the teddy bear, utilize your Box Cutter to slice it open, revealing a Gold Ring hidden inside. This ring is crucial for the next step involving the Chained Man.
Return to the Chained Man’s location, conveniently situated near the arcade. Interact with the Chained Man and place the Gold Ring on the appropriate finger of his left hand (the lower finger, as shown above).After doing so, the Chained Man will acknowledge his ring, causing his horrific display to dissolve and reveal a new path behind him.
This newly uncovered door leads to the Processing Plant, which forms the next major chapter in your adventure. Ensure you finish all tasks in the Mall and surrounding town before stepping through.
