Exciting Changes in ESL Pro Tour 2025

In 2025, the ESL Pro Tour will implement several modifications in its tournament formats. Notably, all finals will transition to a Best of 5 (Bo5) format, and the Best of 1 (Bo1) opening matches will be eliminated.

This decision to remove Bo1 openers is significant as it allows teams to fully demonstrate their capabilities across multiple maps. Transitioning to Bo3 matches is a welcomed change.

Furthermore, the Grand Finals will also adopt a Bo5 format, enhancing the competitiveness and entertainment value of the games. Teams will now need to exhibit their adaptability and strategize for all active duty maps to secure victories.

ESL has also revealed their financial backing for the years 2025 and 2026, pledging over US$ 11 million each year, totaling more than US$ 22 million across two years.

This substantial investment is a crucial effort to ensure the success of their events. More details regarding the allocation of funds for each event will be announced as the tournament dates approach.
