The latest installment of the beloved singing competition show, The Voice, premiered in September 2023, marking an exciting Season 26. This season stands out due to two key factors: the introduction of new coaches, Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg, and a fresh gameplay feature known as the Coach Replay button.
So far, six episodes of the Blind Auditions have aired, and the competition is now gearing up for the Battlegrounds stage. Following the Battles, the show will transition into The Knockouts, eventually leading to The Playoffs and culminating in the Live Shows.
Complete Schedule for The Voice Season 26
Blind Auditions
This season, The Voice aired exclusively on Mondays throughout September, deviating from its traditional Monday-Tuesday format due to the presidential debate occupying its schedule. This shift has resulted in an extension of the Blind Auditions phase into October.
During the Blind Auditions, all four coaches listen to performances without seeing the contestants. If a coach is impressed, they turn their chair to indicate their willingness to mentor that singer.
The contestant then chooses from the coaches who have turned for them. If no chairs turn, unfortunately, the contestant does not continue in the competition. This season, however, features a twist with the new Coach Replay button, allowing coaches to change their minds about turning their chairs after a performance.
A total of 56 contestants participated in the Blind Auditions this season, with each team comprised of 14 members.
The Battles
The Battles phase aims to trim the contestant pool down to 36, resulting in nine per team. In this round, teammates will face off against one another as they vie for a chance to continue in the competition.
The Knockouts
Each team, featuring nine members, will participate in three-way Knockouts, where three contestants will perform solo for their coach. The coach will then select one artist from each trio to advance.
During this round, coaches will also have the option to utilize their Steal buttons, allowing them to claim a contestant who was not selected by another team. Additionally, every coach will have the ability to save one contestant of their choice. This phase will ultimately yield five contestants per team: three winners from the Knockouts, one stolen participant, and one saved by the special power, culminating in a total of 20 contestants. Coaches will receive guidance from a celebrity mega mentor, who will help evaluate the performances and make decisions.
The Playoffs
In the Playoffs, each team will be paired with a celebrity mentor. Contestants will compete to secure a spot in the final Live Shows segment. Ultimately, two artists from each team will advance, bringing the total number of contestants down to 12.
The Live Shows
The Live Shows will open the voting lines, allowing viewers at home to cast their votes for their favored contestants. Artists with the highest votes will progress, while those with the lowest will be eligible for the Instant Save, requiring them to perform a song for another chance at staying in the competition.
Ultimately, contestants will strive to be crowned the winner of The Voice and secure a coveted recording contract. Fans have the option to vote for their favorites via The Voice app or NBC.com.
