Complete List of Ditto Disguises in Pokémon GO for February 2025

For every dedicated Pokémon GO trainer, keeping an updated list of Ditto disguises is essential for tracking down this elusive Pokémon. Unlike others that appear in their true forms, Ditto cleverly masquerades as various fellow Pokémon from a rotating selection. The catch is that you won’t know you’ve encountered a Ditto until you’ve successfully caught it, at which point it transforms back to reveal its true identity.

This game mechanics also applies to Zorua, but Ditto takes it a step further by frequently altering its disguises, typically at least once a year. This ongoing feature has been integral since the game’s inception, meaning new and veteran players alike can go extended periods without snagging a Ditto if they’re unaware of the latest list. Although Ditto is not the toughest Pokémon to capture in Pokémon GO, the pursuit can become a mix of frustration and exhilaration for players aiming to complete their Pokédex.

As of February 2025, the lineup of Pokémon that Ditto can disguise itself as includes 11 different species from multiple generations: Oddish, Stuffl, Spinarak, Koffing, Bergmite, Gothita, Goldeen, Solosis, Rhyhorn, Numel, and Bidoof. This list has remained unchanged since March 2024. When encountering any of these Pokémon, trainers might just be lucky enough to capture a Ditto in disguise, which will revert back to its true form upon capturing.

Players should also be aware that Ditto is capable of spawning as a Shiny, though the chances are slim at 1 in 64. Consequently, encountering the rare blue variant hinges entirely on fortune.

A telltale sign that a Pokémon is a disguised Ditto is its Combat Power (CP), which is usually lower than the Pokémon it mimics. For instance, a level 50 Ditto has a CP range of 940-951, while Pokémon like Oddish and Goldeen typically showcase CPs of 1389-1400 and 1302-1318, respectively. Therefore, spotting a lower CP Pokémon among these can lead trainers to the Ditto they seek.

Enhancing the chances of encountering a Ditto involves utilizing items such as Incenses to boost overall Pokémon spawn rates. While there’s currently no method to specifically increase the spawn rate of Ditto, Incense remains an affordable option, available for just 40 PokéCoins in the shop.

Another strategy is to take advantage of the free Daily Adventure Incense, which boosts Pokémon spawns for a limited time of 15 minutes. Additionally, a Lure Module can be placed at nearby PokéStops, increasing spawn chances for half an hour. Be vigilant for the disguises, especially for Pokémon like Oddish, Solosis, Numel, and Koffing, as these may lead you to successfully capturing a Ditto for your Pokémon GO collection through some persistence and patience.
