Complete List of Confirmed ‘Yellowstone’ Episodes Featuring Lainey Wilson

Country music sensation Lainey Wilson has long dazzled audiences with her vocal talents, but her recent role in season five of the acclaimed series Yellowstone has demonstrated that she also possesses considerable acting ability.

Before stepping into her role as Abby, fans were already familiar with Wilson’s music, which featured prominently in the show’s soundtrack. This musical connection led series creator Taylor Sheridan to tailor a character specifically for her.“He said, ‘I want to create a character specifically for you, ‘” Wilson shared during an interview with People.“He wanted me to be myself, in my own style, singing my own songs. Without hesitation, I responded, ‘Yes, count me in. Let’s do it.’”

Lainey Wilson’s Appearances in Yellowstone

Wilson portrays Abby, a character that makes a significant impact despite appearing in only five episodes during the show’s final season. Audiences first encounter her in the premiere titled “One Hundred Years is Nothing, ” where she performs her single “New Friends” at John Dutton’s grand inauguration as Governor of Montana.

Abby’s captivating performance catches the eye of Ryan, a farmhand played by Ian Bohen, who is eager to pursue a romance. Initially hesitant due to past experiences, Abby receives a shift in perspective from Beth Dutton, allowing her to open up to the possibility of love. Their relationship unfolds through episodes three, “Tall Drink of Water, ” and six, “Cigarettes, Whiskey, a Meadow and You, ” offering viewers a glimpse into their blossoming connection.

However, the course of love isn’t smooth for Abby; in episode seven, “The Dream Is Not Me, ” Ryan opts to leave for Texas, putting their romance at risk. As the series progresses towards its conclusion, the two find their way back to each other in the finale, “Life Is A Promise, ” suggesting that Ryan may venture on tour with Abby, momentarily setting aside his cowboy lifestyle.

With her successful debut in acting, Wilson expresses enthusiasm for future opportunities.“I love creating things, ” she told People, showcasing her passion for the craft of acting.“It’s all about being creative.”
