Complete List of Characters in Arknights Endfield

Arknights: Endfield is set to be a fascinating expansion to the successful universe of the original Arknights, acclaimed as one of the standout gacha titles of the last decade. Transitioning from its foundational mechanics as a tactical tower defense RPG, Endfield introduces players to a semi-open world action RPG experience that draws inspiration from popular titles like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.

Along with this fresh perspective comes a brand-new ensemble of characters, obtainable primarily through gacha mechanics. For players, particularly free-to-play (F2P) enthusiasts, being aware of which characters to aim for is crucial. This article provides a comprehensive overview of all characters in Arknights: Endfield.

Understanding Arknights: Endfield Characters

Characters in Arknights: Endfield exhibit a diverse range of characteristics, including faction affiliation, statistics, and distinct skills. Major attributes that players should focus on include:

  • Grade/Rarity: Ranging from 6-Star to 4-Star
  • Element: Categories include Cryo, Electric, Heat, Nature, or Physical
  • Weapon: Types consist of Greatsword, Guns, Orbiter, Polearm, or Sword
  • Class: Divisions include Caster, Defender, Guard, Striker, Supporter, or Vanguard

The game incorporates an elemental system that dictates the nature of effects that Operators can unleash on their opponents. Characters possess designated weapon types, covering options for melee (swords, polearms, greatswords) and ranged (guns, orbiters).Furthermore, six distinct combat classes help categorize characters into damage dealers (Guards, Strikers, Casters) and support units (Vanguards, Defenders, Supporters).

Veteran players will find the rarity designation, indicated as “grade”in-game, particularly notable. Most gacha RPGs typically present a mix of 4-Star and 5-Star characters—4-Stars being more accessible for F2P players and 5-Stars representing premium options.

In Endfield, however, the rating system varies slightly due to its roots in tower defense mechanics, previously encompassing 1-Star to 6-Star characters. The game consciously eliminates the lower rarity tiers (1-Star, 2-Star, and 3-Star) to meet ARPG standards, while still maintaining a unique emphasis on the high-level 6-Star tier, impacting how players approach gacha mechanics.

Endfield strategically removes lower rarity tiers in response to player expectations of modern ARPGs, yet retains a unique focus on the 6-Star cap. This alteration has significant implications on gacha pulls. In contrast to standard practices where a 10-pull guarantees a single 4-Star item, Endfield ensures that every 10-pull includes only 4-Star characters and above, securing a 5-Star character in every set of ten pulls, while making the 6-Stars the ultimate targets.

In this setup, each pull guarantees a character, circumventing common filler items found in many gacha systems (often resulting in multiple 3-Star duplicates used mainly for experience). This design means that even the most conservative F2P players can amass a competent team rapidly, although they may seek higher-grade replacements as they progress.

The Endministrator

Your journey in Arknights: Endfield begins with the Endministrator (6-Star / Physical / Guard / Sword). This character serves as the initial protagonist, offering a choice between male and female iterations along with a customizable name—though the gameplay primarily employs their title.

Introduction to Starter Characters

During the prologue and tutorial segments, you will acquire two permanent characters: Perlica (5-Star / Electric / Caster / Orbiter) and Chen Qianyu (5-Star / Physical / Guard / Sword).Interestingly, Chen Qianyu has a skill set closely mirroring that of the Endministrator, while Perlica serves as your first ranged attacker.

Additionally, on your third day within the beta test, you’ll unlock Ardelia (6-Star / Nature / Support / Orbiter) as a daily login bonus. As a healing support character, she is invaluable during the early learning phase, ensuring you have a medic available.

Detailed Insight on 4-Star Characters

Within the gacha mechanics, the majority of characters you summon will consist of the five available 4-Stars:

  • Akekuri (4-Star / Heat / Vanguard / Sword)
  • Antal (4-Star / Electric / Supporter / Orbiter)
  • Catcher (4-Star / Physical / Defender / Greatsword)
  • Estella (4-Star / Cryo / Guard / Polearm)
  • Flourite (4-Star / Nature / Caster / Guns)

While 4-Stars feature lower base stats relative to their 5-Star and 6-Star counterparts and lack variety options, they offer essential elemental, weapon, and combat class representation (excluding Strikers). These characters typically dominate around 90% of early pulls, making it feasible to reach max rank across all four within just 40 pulls—ideal for F2P players looking to optimize their team before pursuing higher-grade characters.

Overview of 5-Star Characters

In addition to Perlica and Chen Qianyu, the following 5-Star characters are available in every character banner:

  • Alesh (5-Star / Cryo / Vanguard / Sword)
  • Arclight (5-Star / Electric / Vanguard / Sword)
  • Avywenna (5-Star / Electric / Striker / Polearm)
  • Da Pan (5-Star / Physical / Striker / Greatsword)
  • Snowshine (5-Star / Cryo / Defender / Greatsword)
  • Wulfgard (5-Star / Heat / Caster / Guns)
  • Xaihi (5-Star / Cryo / Supporter / Orbiter)

A total of nine different 5-Star characters are included in the gacha pool, each with a common drop rate of 10%.While obtaining your desired character may take time, their starting stats often surpass those of 4-Stars, making them a strong initial component for your team, particularly if you intend to minimize expenses early in the game.

If you’re considering long-term investments in 5-Star characters, our insights based on the current beta version suggest that Perlica, Wulfgard, and Snowshine would be excellent choices. Currently, the absence of a 6-Star Caster means Perlica or Wulfgard are your best ranged options. Moreover, Snowshine highlights being a strong defensive unit without diminishing offensive potential, as she can adequately fill roles while you save for more powerful units.

Insight into 6-Star Characters

In addition to Ardelia, who can be earned through beta login bonuses, the lineup of 6-Star standard characters includes:

  • Ember (6-Star / Heat / Defender / Greatsword)
  • Last Rite (6-Star / Cryo / Striker / Greatsword)
  • Lifeng (6-Star / Physical / Guard / Polearm)
  • Pogranichnik (6-Star / Physical / Vanguard / Sword)

After accumulating 300 pulls on the permanent standard banner, players can select one of the five 6-Star characters for their roster. Additionally, while pulling from a 6-Star limited character banner, players have a 50% chance of acquiring one of these standard characters instead of the primary limited choice.

Limited 6-Star Banner Characters

The launch of the second beta test in Arknights: Endfield features Laevatain (6-Star / Heat / Striker / Sword) as its inaugural limited-time banner character, available until December 12th. Typically, limited characters are considered among the most formidable in the game.

Yet, Arknights: Endfield employs a different approach to its limited banners compared to other gacha titles. Beyond Laevatain, two additional limited characters—Gilberta (6-Star / Nature / Supporter / Orbiter) and Yvonne (6-Star / Cryo / Caster / Guns)—are planned for future release, enhancing strategic possibilities. Gilberta is set to debut on the limited banner starting December 13th, followed by Yvonne after a similar duration.

These limited symbols will remain active for the first nine weeks, switching characters periodically based on the schedule. Players can look forward to an extended time frame to secure desired 6-Star units. However, only the featured character will hold a 50% chance of appearing on any first pull, while the remaining two join the standard pool in cases of less fortunate rolls—requiring a remarkable 120 pulls to guarantee a 6-Star draw.
