On October 28, Tyler, the Creator unveiled his long-awaited album, Chromakopia, through Columbia Records. This LP consists of 14 tracks and offers a total listening duration of 53 minutes.
Tyler’s self-produced Chromakopia marks his seventh studio album and eighth overall, following the deluxe version of his Grammy-winning project, Call Me If You Get Lost.
In anticipation of the album’s drop, Tyler orchestrated a viral marketing campaign that included teaser trailers and sneak peeks of lead singles. The launch was further enhanced by an exclusive live listening event on October 27, 2024, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
Despite rumors regarding a collaboration with fellow Odd Future artist Frank Ocean, he is noticeably absent from the tracklist. Interestingly, the streaming version of the album includes no featured artists.

Featured Artists on Tyler, the Creator’s Seventh Studio Album Chromakopia
The album features contributions from various artists, including spoken-word segments from Tyler’s mother, Bonita Smith. During the live event in Los Angeles, Tyler expressed how his mother’s guidance was pivotal in shaping the essence of Chromakopia.
“The album kinda just turned into me taking a bunch of sh*t my mom told me as a kid. Now that I’m 33, all that stuff is like, Oh… that’s what the f**k she was talking about.”- Tyler, the Creator.
1) Daniel Caesar
Canadian artist Daniel Caesar appears on Chromakopia in two tracks, which are:
- St. Chroma
- Take Your Mask Off
Caesar enhances the album with his remarkable vocal contributions. Notably, on St. Chroma, he sings:
“Can you feel the light inside? / Can you feel that fire? (Can you feel it, can you feel it? Oh) / Oh, fire (Can you feel it, can you feel it? Ooh, oh), fire.”
2) Teezo Touchdown
Aaron Lashane Thomas, known as Teezo Touchdown, lends his voice to the track Darling, I.
This introspective song delves into love, relational dynamics, and self-reflection, with Teezo adding a catchy hook supported by samples from Q-Tip and James Brown.

3) Childish Gambino
Shortly after the debut of his last album, Bando Stone and the New World, Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, joins Tyler on the sixth track, I Killed You.
The duo explores themes concerning toxic relationships and resilience, with Glover contributing an interlude and outro to the track.

Gambino also provides a subtle contribution on Judge Judy, enhancing the hook with his signature style.
4) GloRilla, Lil Wayne, and Sexyy Red
In an exciting collaboration, Tyler presents a standout track titled Sticky, featuring GloRilla, Lil Wayne, and Sexyy Red.
All three rappers deliver impressive lines as they contribute to seven distinct verses on this captivating song. Teasers of the track were shared online following its preview at the Los Angeles listening session.
“Sticky situation (Yeah), discombobulation / Caught me red-handed, palms itchin’ like rosacea / Standin’ like ovation on business occupation / Drippin’ condensation, gotta whisper conversations”- Lil Wayne on Sticky.
The composition of Sticky is credited to Timbaland, Young Buck, Polow Da Don, and Blac Elvis, incorporating a sample from Buck’s 2007 track “Get Buck.”
5) Doechii
Fresh off her third mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, Doechii lends her voice to track 13, Balloon.
The track features a sample from Uncle Luke’s classic 1992 track, I Wanna Rock (Doo Doo Brown), with Doechii showcasing her lyrical prowess in the second verse.
“Aight, where the swamp is? / Flyest b***h up in the room, I need a cockpit (Need a cockpit) / I need some PETA for this p***y, they want the croc’ print / I’m finna air these DL n****s out the closet / I let it in (Let it in), I let it out (Let it out)”- Doechii on Balloon.
6) ScHoolboy Q and Playboi Carti
Tyler creatively showcases two features on the second lead single from Chromakopia, titled Thought I Was Dead.
On the standard album version, ScHoolboy Q delivers the first verse, with Santigold adding her unique ad-libs, and together they deliver engaging lines such as:
“Get love in the hood, but I must leave (Yeah) / Born way in the Hills where they can’t see (Can’t see) / Swear I burn twenty Ms, 2018 (Yeah) / Like I play for the Bills, goin’ O-D (They thought I was dead) / N****s tend to get rich and they act weird (Act weird) / How you walkin’ up the party with your butt pierced? (Mm, uh)”
For an exclusive limited edition vinyl release, Tyler swapped out Q’s contribution for a verse from Playboi Carti, who previously collaborated with Tyler on the track EARFQUAKE.
“Still poppin’ my s–t outside, I ain’t do it for the ‘Gram or the ‘net / Feelin’ like a zombie, I can’t miss / Double R clean, let’s go fishin’ / Tryna move like us, them shoes don’t fit / No, I’m not a striker, I can get it lit (Hm)”- Playboi Carti on the exclusive Thought I Was Dead vinyl.
Additional artists like WILLOW, Santigold, and Paul “Ngozi”Nyirongo also contribute to the album, enhancing its production through ad-lib performances and additional writing credits.
