In contrast to earlier segments in OFF, which offered open-ended exploration, Zone 3 significantly narrows your pathway. This focused approach emphasizes a more linear storyline, yet paradoxically, it presents puzzles that are increasingly complex and difficult compared to the previous zones.
As you progress through this area, opportunities for navigation broaden, which can lead to a sense of disorientation. This guide is designed to assist you in conquering the intricate puzzles encountered in Zone 3, allowing you to engage with challenges in your preferred manner. Whether you seek a full walkthrough or just a hint to solve a tricky section, I’ve got you covered.
Area 1

Upon entering Zone 3, your initial environment is a sparse office space, hinting at a limited freedom of movement— a recurring concept in this segment. Begin by collecting the Stamped Note affixed to the wall. Utilize the Shift key to access this note, which maps out the layout of the surrounding area, highlighting safe zones.
To avoid enemy encounters, remember to travel directly from one colored square on the floor to another, minimizing your risks. If confronted by adversaries, you will be reverted to the starting point.
Follow this numerical journey using the guide: move one square to the left, two squares up, one and a half squares left, then two squares up. Next, proceed two squares right, one up, and three squares left to enter a door where you will meet Zacharie.

Return to the initial location and move four squares left to reach the green square. Referencing the note once more, navigate two squares up, two and a half left, three down, one left, four up, and finally left, up, and right to access another door.
Inside, you’ll witness a character’s demise, followed by a battle against the specters responsible. Prioritize obtaining the crown to prevent healing during this encounter. Additionally, there’s a chest containing useful items within this room.
Once you’ve concluded your business, return to the black square 5. Move three squares left, up and to the right, then left and down. Proceed left one square and up to collect your last add-on, plus another treasure chest.
After this detour, meet with Zacharie again at black square 8. Keep in mind that adhering to the square numerical order is vital to avoid unwelcome encounters.
Area 2
Zacharie’s instructions lead you to Area 2. Retrace your steps to the monorail and proceed to your next destination. Be aware that he tends to arrive ahead of you, but feel free to stop in the adjacent room to shop for supplies if needed.
To the left lies a chamber featuring basic switch puzzles. Activate all the right switches, toggle the left switch, and then flip the one labeled with a C to unlock the doorway above.
Once inside, activate the switches in the order they appear, unlocking new switches sequentially. Ultimately, you’ll reach the switch adjacent to the door blocking your exit. To gain access, flip the middle and top right switches until the barricade is cleared, then proceed to answer the door with “Von Gacy”.
After dealing with the three enemies in this room, who will eliminate the ghosts for you, collect the Fortune Ticket located in the bottom right corner. You can disregard fighting the other enraged employees if you choose.
Area 3

Head back to the monorail for your journey to Area 3. This zone is the most straightforward so far, commencing with an ascent up a ladder and a jump into a large factory pipe. Here, you will engage in a simple minigame requiring you to stay centered within circles.
For additional lore, venture downstairs to interact with a man shoveling bodies into an oven. After this encounter, descend the pipe and meet Zacharie, who will accompany you to Area 4.
Area 4

Travel along the rail with Zacharie, clearing away any obstruction on the tracks. Navigating Area 4 proves to be more challenging, so begin by exploring doors on the left until one opens.
Shift a desk to the left and enter the next room to discover a notable image on the table. Move to the right of the save point, evading the somewhat aggressive enemies cluttering the halls.
Upon hitting a wall on the right side, the upper door leads to a game controller. You will need to input commands to eliminate the blocks obstructing further movement south.
To uncover the necessary inputs, descend from this door, traverse the central hallway, and enter the second door. Prepare for a lengthy yet manageable engagement, and don’t forget to collect a Music Box from a treasure chest.
Continue down the hallway; if desired, you can purchase items from Zacharie or claim a piece of golden flesh by heading down. Retrace your steps back to the left, but take another left and head down through the first door to find Zacharie again.
This time, he proposes a trade: your Music Box for crucial information. Accept this offer as he unveils the button combinations needed for the earlier controller.
Combine the image you referenced previously with the new information to create a series of commands: “Down, Left, Up, Right, Top button, Left button, Right button, Down button, Right button, and Start”.
Return to the controller to execute these inputs, then revisit the top left door and descend the stairs. Navigate past numerous unreadable signs to enter the corresponding numbers on the wall, noting the upside-down orientation of the keypad.
Enoch
Your encounter with Director Enoch awaits upon ascending. To prevail in this battle, your strategy should involve retreating until you reach the monorail, where the confrontation will transition into a more significant engagement.
It’s best to avoid the stark white rooms, as they contain little reward and serve only as distractions on your journey. The fight itself is manageable; Enoch’s fatigue limits his offense to infrequent powerful attacks. You can easily replenish health with The Batter’s abilities or available items.

While Enoch tends to drain your CC, carrying a few pieces of flesh can mitigate this issue. If resources are tight, utilizing critical hits for defense is advisable. A consistent focus on delivering powerful strikes to his head will tilt the battle in your favor, while avoiding the need for healing from the Furious status.
With enough luck and strategic use of items, you and your team will emerge victorious. Following your triumph, you may return to a purified Zone 3. While you might feel prepared to tackle any remaining adversaries, it’s wise to gain further experience, perhaps by revisiting Zone 1 first.
