Complete Guide to the Metaphor ReFantazio Tomb of Lament Dungeon Walkthrough

Metaphor ReFantazio offers a wealth of content for players to delve into, even beyond the main questline. With numerous side missions, events to enhance party member bonds, and an array of collectibles to discover, gamers can enjoy countless hours of engagement. A particularly popular activity within the game is exploring dungeons, although navigating and conquering these areas can pose a significant challenge.

One notable dungeon that adventurers can access is the Tomb of Lament, known for its unsettling atmosphere.

Exploring the Tomb of Lament in Metaphor ReFantazio

For a smoother experience in this dungeon, it’s advisable to include a Magic Knight alongside a Cleric or Healer in your party. Archetypes such as the Pugilist and Brawler can also be beneficial. Additionally, ensure you carry ample healing items and equip characters with both Light and Strike attack capabilities.

Upon entering the tomb, your party will face an immediate attack from a Pyrite Imitec. Utilize Wind attacks to defeat it and collect the Blessed Water it drops. Afterward, you’ll encounter Guptauros patrolling the area. While it’s possible to take them on with Pierce and Ice attacks, evasion is the recommended strategy to navigate past them. Proceed west and descend the stairs.

You’ll find another Guptauros upon your descent, which can again be defeated using previous tactics. However, two more Guptauros lurk nearby. It’s advisable to avoid them by taking advantage of side rooms as you progress. As you continue, the path will split into two directions—north and east.

Taking the north route will lead to a room containing useful items, though be cautious of a lurking Pyrite Imitec. After looting, head east down the staircase to push deeper into the dungeon towards the final boss. Another Guptauros awaits, so as soon as you descend, make a quick left while being alert for any Pyrite Imitecs.

Proceed down south and enter the chamber located southeast of the staircase. Here, you’ll find a lever on the wall; flipping it will reveal a hidden passage. Move through it, head south, take your first right, and go down the stairs. Upon reaching the landing, you’ll encounter two options: one path goes south while the other leads north.

Choosing the southern route might yield some loot, but be aware of the multiple Guptauros present, which can adversely impact the party’s HP and MP. Since you’ll need plenty of health and skill points for the battle against Fatolich, it’s wiser to opt for the northern route. Turn left, activate the lever on the wall, and gather items in the area. Ahead lies Fatolich.

Strategies for Defeating Fatolich

During the confrontation, Fatolich can summon an ally known as Chimenza, which significantly enhances its combat capabilities while jeopardizing your party’s chances. Each time Chimenza appears, it can resurrect Fatolich with the Deiamahan spell, rapidly replenishing its health. Prioritize taking out Chimenza quickly. Attack Fatolich using Light and Strike attacks as it has vulnerabilities to those types.

Keep in mind that Fatolich has resistances against Mage attacks and is also defensive against Fire, Ice, Dark, Wind, and Electric attacks. Make the most of its weaknesses while steering clear of the Curse Chant, which can inflict adverse Status effects on your party. Make good use of the Cleric’s Synthesis abilities to aid in overcoming Fatolich.

Upon defeating Fatolich, your party will earn MAG and Reeves as rewards. Furthermore, you’ll acquire the Chalice of Legends, which can be turned in at the bounty center as proof of your victory over Fatolich, granting you additional rewards.
