Essential Items for the Puzzle

Before embarking on the puzzle within The Watcher’s Nest, ensure you have all required emblems. To enter The Watcher’s Nest, two principal emblems are necessary, followed by four additional ones needed to complete the puzzle itself.
If you’re already equipped with these items, feel free to jump ahead. If you’re new to Vyssa Hills and feeling uncertain about your next steps, continue reading for guidance.
Locating the Book and Candle Emblems and Entering The Watcher’s Nest
Initially, you will need to acquire two specific emblems to unlock the entrance to The Watcher’s Nest. After encountering Vitalis and viewing the subsequent cutscene, direct your attention southwest from the nearby save point and ascend the hill toward a wooden gate. Beyond this gate, you’ll encounter a fork in the path: the right leads to a one-way bridge and an attacking Hollow creature, while the left leads to Tania Alver, the journalist who was scheduled to meet with Vitalis.

Upon speaking with Tania and asking her about Vitalis and the Vigil Note, she will provide you with the Candle Emblem. After the conversation, make your way back to the fork and take the right path past the wooden structure, where you will encounter two Hollow creatures guarding a body. Defeating them reveals Agatha, a woman previously affiliated with Tania and Vitalis. The Book Emblem can be found on her body, and with both the Book and Candle emblems now in your possession, you can unlock The Watcher’s Nest.

Return to the wooden structure, ascend the ladder, and follow the tombstone-lined path until you reach another fork. Take the right path to continue toward The Watcher’s Nest. Be prepared for an enemy encounter on your way. Upon reaching the entrance, place the Book and Candle emblems in their designated slots beside the door, allowing you to enter and delve deeper into the mysteries of The Watcher’s Nest.
Steps to Solve The Watcher’s Nest Puzzle

Upon entering, you will encounter the core of the puzzle. A critical note lies on a large stone table, reading: “Through his name, his title, the symbol of his Order, and the date of inception of his Order, shall the path be revealed.”
The names, titles, symbols, and dates mentioned correspond to four specific areas on the walls of The Watcher’s Nest, where you need to place one of the four ceramic Blue Flower tiles, each representing General Pentos Algea, founder of The Order of the Eye. These tiles can be collected from atop Pentos’ coffin situated at the back of The Watcher’s Nest, down a ladder.
Now equipped with the tiles, you are ready to complete the puzzle. Additionally, The Watcher’s Nest contains rich lore regarding Hell is Us, The Vigil, and the Order of the Eye. If you prefer to uncover the answer independently at your own pace, all the resources are found within. For those seeking a direct solution to progress, please position the four blue tiles as follows:
- Place one flower beneath the shield bearing the Book symbol near the save point.

- Place one flower adjacent to the plaque that bears ‘Algea’ behind the whiteboard.

- Place one flower below the third icon from your entry point, moving leftward around the stone table.

- Finally, place the last flower in the right slot next to the blue banner.

Upon correctly placing all flowers, the ground will tremble. Descend to the tomb and pull the lever located in front of Pentos’ coffin to unveil the solution to the Watcher’s Nest puzzle in Hell is Us.
