In the realm of JRPGs, engaging characters, a coherent storyline, and innovative combat mechanics often characterize remarkable titles. However, what particularly intrigues me is the progression system, which can profoundly shape the gaming experience.
RAIDOU Remastered, a spinoff from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, brings a plethora of demons that could shock even the staunchest elder. Every new demon I encounter, whether through capturing or creating via fusion, gets logged into the Devil Chart, which is a central feature for players like me who strive to complete every aspect of the game.
This guide aims not to detail which demons serve as fusion ingredients, as RAIDOU’s remaster introduces numerous quality-of-life improvements that reduce the element of surprise in the fusion process. Instead, I’ll share my strategies for navigating the game without excessive grinding, particularly concerning the financial costs associated with summoning registered demons.
For those of us detectives on a budget, this walkthrough is designed to begin at the very start of your gameplay, mimicking the path I took to register all demons in RAIDOU Remastered while minimizing the need for excessive yen gathering. A significant focus will be placed on utilizing Element Demons efficiently.
How to Acquire New Demons

New demons can be obtained through two main methods: confinement in battles or fusion. In Episode 1, I primarily captured demons via combat, but afterward, most of my acquisitions came from fusion.
Fusion entails combining two existing demons to create a new one. Unlike the mechanics found in the Persona series, RAIDOU Remastered simplifies this by restricting fusions to only two demons at a time. If you possess both required demons, the fusion process costs you nothing; if not, monetary investment is necessary. Additionally, Raidou must be at least equal in level to the demon you’re attempting to fuse.
It’s wise to fuse demons boasting max loyalty as they pass on passive skills to the offspring demon. The benefits of fusion greatly outweigh those of capturing in combat; you gain bonus attributes, spells from both parents, and an increased number of passive skill slots—eventually hitting a total of six.
Notably, some demons necessitate additional tasks before they become available for fusion, such as completing specific Case Files or defeating them in battles. Demons received as part of the story, like Alp and Preta, will not be covered here.
Episode 1
Demons Captured in Combat

During Episode 1, players find themselves devoid of demons, so the most straightforward approach to obtaining new demons is through battles in Dark Tsukudo-cho, the first Dark Realm encountered.
The mechanics for confining demons have been taught to players already, meaning all demons can be confined in Dark Tsukudo-cho. You may need to gain a level or two to capture Inugami; however, that experience will likely come naturally.
Additionally, I confined several demons beneath the Daidouji Residence, as fusion won’t become available until after completing the relevant events. After unlocking fusion, capturing demons became unnecessary, and I shifted entirely towards fusion for my remaining acquisitions.

Episode 2
From this point forward, I began incorporating numerous Element demons into my fusions. When two demons from the same Order are fused, the result is an Element Demon associated with that Order. For instance, two Force demons yield one Aeros, which can further facilitate the creation of even more potent Force demons when combined with an additional Force demon.
This strategy proves advantageous as you don’t need to constantly switch between your collection to find demons with the required Field Skills; the same Orders remain readily available at your disposal.

Episode 4
In this Episode, you will have access to all the Element Order demons and can utilize them as fusion fodder, providing significant savings on yen.
A major point to consider is that the skills and passives will depend on which Element Demon was most recently registered. Whilst my Element Demons hovered around level 20—thus minimizing costs—they did limit my skill development to some extent. Fortunately, this didn’t significantly escalate the difficulty of the gameplay.
During this Episode, you must complete Case File No.19, Enter Hayataro, to unlock Hayataro for fusion.
Furthermore, utilizing Skill Books on Element Demons before registering them into the Devil Chart can enhance your fusions, as you’ll need to use the same Skill Book multiple times for skills to carry over into the subsequent fusions.

Once defeated, Kudan grants a Renki and is subsequently available for fusion. It was located in Dark Fukagawa-cho, our only area of access this Episode. However, with Kudan being level 51, you might need to postpone fusion until your levels are adequate. I suggest moving on to the next Episode for now.

As a seasoned JRPG player, I find myself stockpiling resources. However, nearing the conclusion prompted me to utilize all of my Experience Books.
With a total of seven levels gained, I achieved significant stat bonuses, which inadvertently led to a chaotic fusion session due to the number of newly unlocked demons.
During this Episode, you will also unlock Case File No.40 Scars of the Recession, which authorizes the fusion of Belphegor, a high-demand level 71 demon.

Episode 12
Welcome to the final episode of RAIDOU Remastered. Now is not the time to be frugal, whether with yen or Experience Books. It’s an all-or-nothing situation for any Devil Summoner.
Begin by completing Case File No.31, Hello…?.This task requires you to be at level 66 to fuse a Belial, which is essential for completing this side quest and unlocking Alice’s fusion. Interestingly, Alice is only a level 33 fusion despite the high level requirement for the Case File.
Additionally, another Case File, No.43 The Final Act, allows you to fuse Beelzebub but first requires you to complete three other quests known as the Trial of a Hundred Demons.
If you need guidance on fusing Beelzebub, we have a dedicated how-to guide.
Once you navigate to the Akarana Corridor, noted as the last dungeon in RAIDOU Remastered, a new Case File titled No.44 A Transcendent God will appear. You can complete it by defeating an Asura, which allows its fusion.
Proceed with your tasks, keeping in mind that Element Demons remain a cost-effective fusion resource. Every fusion contributes to unlocking gradually stronger demons, hence there’s no need to overspend on yen.

Fusion Accidents

RAIDOU Remastered features the concept of fusion accidents, where unexpected outcomes occur during the fusion process. There are three distinct types of accidents:
- The intended demon appears but with enhanced attributes.
- A completely different but still obtainable demon emerges instead.
- Acquisition of a Legion demon, unique to accidents.
To complete your demon registration, aiming for Legion is essential. A reliable tactic is to perform fusions during a Full Moon while utilizing save scumming.
For instance, I unlocked a Skill Legion Demon by fusing a Triglav and a Flaemis (repeatedly), though your results may vary based on the demon pair.
