Complete Guide to Garden Pet Mutations: Traits and Probability of Each Mutation

In the world of Grow a Garden, pets serve a dual purpose that extends beyond companionship. They are essential allies in maintaining your garden and enhancing the quality of your crops. The presence of a pet can activate passive skills, leading to unique interactions with nearby fruits that can significantly benefit your gardening efforts.

As your pets mature, consider adding mutations to them—these are permanent upgrades that enhance their abilities and may introduce new, powerful traits alongside their inherent characteristics. The strategic application of these mutations can dramatically improve your gardening experience.

Acquiring and Implementing Pet Mutations

Obtaining and applying pet mutations in Grow a Garden varies significantly between those that are permanently available and those introduced during special events. To apply permanent mutations, your pet must reach the age of 50. If your pet achieves this milestone and you’re prepared for a permanent change, visit the Mutation Station situated by the Pet Egg stall. While holding your pet, you will need to pay 500, 000, 000 Sheckles and wait for one hour in real-time. Following this period, your pet’s age will reset to one, and it will acquire a random mutation based on the probabilities outlined in the previous table.

An alternative method to mutate your pet is by using a Pet Mutation Shard, which can be directly applied to the desired pet. These shards are acquired from limited-time events and induce special mutations that are unique to those events. Compared to permanent mutations, using shards has benefits such as guaranteed effects and instant applicability.

It’s important to note that once a mutation process is initiated, it cannot be undone or reversed. Furthermore, mutations cannot be stacked (aside from a rare exception for pets that are born with innate mutations), meaning that applying a new mutation will overwrite any existing one. Therefore, ensure that you are certain about mutating your pet before commencing the process.
