Joel G., a visionary animator turned game designer, has captivated the independent gaming scene with ENA: Dream BBQ. This immersive experience has kicked off with its first chapter, Lonely Door, igniting excitement among gaming enthusiasts.
In a similar vein to other renowned indie games that opt for expansive updates post-launch, like Deltarune by Toby Fox, ENA Team is poised to expand its unique narrative within this passion project with forthcoming updates.
The game impresses with a diverse array of quirky characters, engaging tasks, and mysterious liminal spaces to explore, offering delights for both established fans and newcomers to the genre.
One captivating quest involves gathering slug-like pets for a reward of chocolate, which serves as the vital currency within the thrilling multimedia deep web.
Pet Collection Guide

After the introductory gameplay, where you receive your main task from Froggy and venture through the Lonely Door, you’ll encounter numerous pathways to explore.
Your journey predominantly revolves around conversing with various characters and tackling their challenges. This gameplay structure reflects the essence of ENA’s online animated shorts, enriched by settings that bring each challenge to life.
The game’s desert region evokes memories of a certain retro-dolphin icon from Joel G.’s animation, Temptation Stairway.
Among the many unique figures you’ll meet, one stands out: a gentleman resembling a cardboard rocking horse clad in a trench coat, known as Shoryo.

Begin by speaking with Shoryo, who expresses his distress about his lost pets. He is ready to offer a reward for anyone who can locate them. He provides a handy tip: the pets often leave a trail of blood, which serves as a clue for your search. Fear not, for these beloved creatures will soon be reunited with their owner.
1st Pet Location

The pets are dispersed throughout the desert-like environment. Our first destination is adjacent to The Sage’s tent, where a wizard figure awaits, seemingly plucked from a lost retro classic.
Follow the blood trail that leads behind some sizable debris, uncovering your first pet. Although it may look menacing, approaching and interacting with it will enable you to collect the pet.
You can look for the pets in any sequence, as there is no prescribed order for their collection. Note, however, that the pet’s appearance may vary since the game randomizes sprites between the four available pets during a new playthrough.
2nd Pet Location

Next, head towards the triangular ship-like structure you initially arrived at when entering the desert zone. A blood trail sweeps through a rocky archway located at the base.
Exercise caution to avoid falling, then redirect your gaze toward the building. A jump from the pathway to the structure will enable you to find the second pet next to the chain link fence.
3rd Pet Location

Upon scanning the horizon, you should spot a crumbling edifice in the distance. If you’ve previously engaged with The Bridge Keeper, he likely directed your sights toward a purple humanoid perched on the building’s edge.
Reach this location, and you’ll notice more blood splatters both inside and outside, guiding you up to the building’s summit. Carefully navigate the debris to find the third pet waiting at the top.
4th Pet Location

From the central area of the desert, proceed towards the colossal torso protruding from a nearby building across a gaping chasm bridged by a narrow path.
This crossing is not accessible, but looking back toward the plaza reveals another blood trail at the rear of a building.
It’s easy to miss the purple hue of the trail in this surreal environment, yet it leads into a crouchable entrance at the back of the building.
Inside, you’ll find yourself in a submerged, underground passageway. The trail continues to guide you along the walls as you venture deeper.
Follow the left path, guided by the blood trail and the indications of some small green specters. You will soon find two distinct blood trails, one being red and the other purple.

By tracking the purple trail, you’ll encounter a wounded purple humanoid. Soon enough, it will dawn on you that these pet slugs can be quite perilous.
After passing the red blood, take a right at the rocky archway and then a left to directly face where the fourth and final pet is hidden.

With all pets now gathered, return topside to report back to Shoryo. Your efforts yield success, with his beloved pets safely returned, and you are rewarded with 10 precious chocolates.

If Moony were around, she’d likely devour these chocolate coins immediately. However, it would be wise to save them for future quests ahead.
