In this guide, I will outline the locations of every Dye Merchant scattered across the island, enabling you to transform your character, Atsu, with your preferred color schemes. Remember, the inventory of each Dye Merchant expands as you progress through the story, so it’s worth revisiting them after key narrative milestones or when you acquire new armor.
Location of the White Dye Merchant
The first merchant worth seeking out is the White Dye Merchant, whose products are particularly striking against many armor sets. You can locate her in the Yotei Grasslands region, specifically at the northwestern corner of the map, adjacent to the Yotei River marker, as depicted above.
Location of the Black Dye Merchant
Next on our list is the Black Dye Merchant, who becomes available by progressing through the Kitsune main questline in the Teshio Ridge Region. At a pivotal moment in the quest, Atsu and Oyuki rescue the Black Dye Merchant’s family. Once you reunite with the merchant, she will invite Atsu to explore her dye options and wares.
Location of the Crimson Dye Merchant
Moving on, you will find the Crimson Dye Merchant in the Ishikari Plains region. Her shop is situated at the western edge of the map on the Stone Jaw Coast. To summon her, you’ll need to ignite the bonfire in the area, as indicated by a note attached to nearby poles.
Location of the Green Dye Merchant
The Green Dye Merchant is located in the Tokachi Range region. To reach her, navigate along the Niikappu River towards the northeastern part of the map, as highlighted above.
Location of the Blue Dye Merchant
Lastly, we come to the Blue Dye Merchant, who is likely the final merchant players will encounter. She resides at Oshima Coast, an area you explore while tracking down Saito’s two sons, the Dragon and the Spider. Fortunately, finding the Blue Dye Merchant does not require complex puzzles or quests; her shop is positioned along the lower stretch of the Otsuki River, just beneath the Orito Forest on the map.
