Deadlock is set to introduce a much-anticipated Ranked mode, which will become available on October 15, 2024. Although the official launch date for the game has yet to be announced, an enthusiastic community of players is already experimenting with its early developmental version. In its initial stages, Deadlock featured solely an unranked option, allowing players to experience the game without a strong emphasis on progression.
The recent update on October 10 adds the Ranked mode, marking a significant enhancement as it provides a structured matchmaking system that will be activated starting October 15, 2024. This article will explore the key features of this exciting new gameplay mode.
Essential Information About Deadlock’s Ranked Mode
At present, access to Deadlock is limited to player invitations. Even in this developmental phase, the game has attracted a substantial player community.
Valve is now gearing up to launch the Ranked game mode, though a comprehensive rank progression feature is still in the works.
Nonetheless, players who dedicate time and effort to winning matches will reap rewards. Presently, players can earn as many as 11 medals through gameplay and advancement.
Each of these 11 medals features six tiers that will receive updates on a weekly basis.
To earn a new rank in the following week, players must participate in at least seven matches. However, similar to various other first-person shooters, a prerequisite for unlocking the Ranked mode is playing Deadlock for a certain duration.
Players need to have completed a total of 50 matches to unlock the Ranked mode. Importantly, this mode is currently limited to solo queues, but future updates may introduce team queues as well.
It is crucial to note that Ranked mode will not be consistently available. In contrast to the casual game modes, which players can enjoy at any time, the Ranked mode’s queue will operate only between 1-4 pm and 7-10 pm daily starting on October 15, 2024, due to expected server constraints.
Additionally, there are currently no behavior monitoring systems within the Ranked mode. It is anticipated that once the game is fully launched, there may be measures in place to address player behavior, helping to eliminate toxic or disruptive conduct. For now, however, such systems are absent.
With the impending arrival of Deadlock’s Ranked mode, now is the perfect time to hone your skills with your favorite heroes in order to climb the ranks and accumulate more medals with each passing week.
