The Windfall Shipment quest in Atomfall is a pivotal part of the storyline, culminating in the acquisition of a crucial item: the Signal Redirector.
As with many quests in Atomfall, there are numerous ways to initiate this story thread. However, our aim is to present a clear and straightforward approach, especially considering that navigating a quarantine zone while grappling with amnesia can be exceptionally challenging.
If you have progressed through The Little Tea Room Lead and already possess Windfall’s keycard, feel free to skip ahead to the section titled Windfall’s Discovery Dies With Me.
How to Begin the Windfall Shipment Lead
Your first stop is Grendel’s Head Pub located in Wyndham Village at coordinates 34.2E, 79.3N. Once inside, engage with Alf and select the following dialogue options to initiate the quest:
- Curious: What are you offering?
- Curious: Can you get your hands on any B. A.R. D.equipment?
- Bargaining: It’s worth a favor, and a big one. Just help me out.
After your conversation, Alf will instruct you to seek out Nora in Sekethermoor. Off we go!
Finding the Signal Redirector: All Roads Lead to Nora
Nora’s barn can be found at 41.8E, 77.5N in Sekethermoor, but be advised that her front door is locked tight. To get in, head around to the back entrance at 41.6E, 77.8N. Do take care, as this area is littered with traps.
Once inside, speak with Nora and mention that Alf sent you. Additionally, inquire about the Signal Redirector. She’ll inform you that it could be located in one of two places: the fortified Skethermoor Prison or a Protocol Bunker. Be mindful that a keycard is necessary to access the bunker.
Unfortunately, that keycard is lost from a rumored smuggler’s shipment, leaving you in a bit of a conundrum. However, fear not, as clues are nearby.
Make your way to the Road Blockade at 39.4E, 76.2N while evading the watchful eyes of Protocol Soldiers. Amidst the abandoned vehicles, you’ll find a note referencing the lost shipment, directing you to a nearby bunker.
This targeted bunker is the Protocol Workshop at 38.0E, 77.4N. If you successfully completed The Little Tea Room Lead, you should have the necessary keycard. If not, now would be a good time to tackle that lead for additional rewards.
Your mission is to enter the bunker, locate the crawlspace in the bathroom, and navigate to the safe room. Inside, you’ll find Windfall’s remains and retrieve the keycard you need.
Now it’s time for a prison break!
If you choose to ally with Captain Sims, you’ll gain easier access to Skethermoor Prison without the soldiers viewing you as a threat. Additionally, another Signal Redirector can be found near Dr. Garrow’s containment area.
Unlocking Windfall’s Discovery
Upon reaching Skethermoor, navigate towards the bunker located at 41.3E, 74.9N. Be prepared; it is heavily reinforced and tricky to enter.
Your recent visit to the Protocol Bunker should have equipped you well after raiding its resources. Engage the enemies guarding the entrance at 40.8E, 75.5N, eliminating them quietly before making your way to the bunker.
However, be cautious; additional Protocol Soldiers await you inside. Stealth is essential here, as cover is limited.
Your destination is just a bit further down the hall. To quickly secure the Signal Redirector, proceed directly down the corridor, make your first left, and enter the green door on your left. Avoid the Armory, as it leads to unnecessary confrontations.
Upon opening the green door, head to the rear of the room and use your keycard to unlock Windfall’s Crate.
Congratulations! You have successfully acquired the Signal Redirector.
