In the universe of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the formidable Samurai Daisho play a crucial role as the warrior captains stationed within castles and fortifications. These skilled fighters hold the keys necessary to access the coveted Legendary chests hidden within their strongholds. Defeating each Daisho is essential, as only after their defeat can players unlock these treasures and claim their rewards.
Tracking down Samurai Daisho can often prove challenging. These captains are known for their unpredictable patrol routes, roaming their territories while monitoring their troops. The complexity of large castles, with their multiple levels and various outbuildings, adds another layer of difficulty. As you navigate through these sprawling structures, you may find yourself searching frantically for the last remaining Daisho, especially if you’re being pursued by groups of guards.
To ease your quest, we have included an interactive map below, detailing the precise locations of every Samurai Daisho throughout Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The term “Daisho, ” which translates to “Big and Little, ” honors the tradition that allows these esteemed samurai to wield both a long katana and a short tanto dagger. The katana is legendary in its own right, but the tanto serves various purposes, including close combat and, in dire situations, as a means for Seppuku.
Although she does not carry the title officially, Naoe exemplifies what it means to be a Daisho, regularly wielding a long katana along with a tanto for stealthy, double assassinations.
