Coin Location #1: Chapter 3
The first coin can be retrieved after completing the time loop sequence in Chapter 3. Once you solve the puzzle in Sam’s room on Friday and exit the house door, you will no longer find yourself in an evening setting.
The sunlight filtering into the house is your cue to search for the coin.Proceed down the main staircase until the screen momentarily flickers and displays static. When this happens, turn back and ascend the stairs to find your first coin.
Coin Location #2: Chapter 4
You’ll discover the second coin in Chapter 4 while traversing an area that offers a view of the desert.This coin is nearly impossible to miss, as it is situated on the main pathway, so you can relax and not worry about overlooking it.
As you move through the overlook area, listen for a sudden crash that will trigger your character to retrace your steps.
This crash, caused by a falling pillar, creates a gap in the wall you must climb through.Upon crossing through the hole, you will find the coin waiting for you.
Coin Location #3: Chapter 4
After collecting items belonging to your family members—such as the glasses, a deflated basketball, a heart, and a torn photo—refrain from placing them on the dream altar just yet.Completing this puzzle will make it impossible to find this coin.
Instead, descend into the basement where you encountered the monkeys, and proceed down another staircase to a collapsed area. Once at the bottom, take a left to uncover the coin in the dim light.
Coin Location #4: Chapter 5
The fourth coin is conveniently located on the main path and will not require excessive searching. At the beginning of Chapter 5, after passing through the mirror and entering the bathroom, look for the coin in the hallway. It sits next to the alleyway that leads to the next phase of the main storyline.
Keep in mind that the words “Chapter 5: Playing With the Truth”won’t appear until you venture into the alleyway on the left side of the hallway, though this coin still counts as a Chapter 5 collectible.
Coin Location #5: Chapter 22
The final coin can be found at the start of Chapter 22, which is essentially Chapter 6 under a different label for narrative reasons.
As soon as you awaken in the desert under bright light, immediately turn around to spot the coin sitting off in the shadowy distance. Make a dash for the coin to collect it.
It’s crucial to grab the coin quickly, as an ominous creature lurks in the shadows and may capture you if you’re too slow.
By collecting the last coin in this chapter, you will unlock the Collector of Coins achievement.
