Pokémon Ash Gray Walkthrough

Route 2: Entering Viridian Forest

Stick to the left as you navigate north to find a level 7 Pidgeotto. This encounter alludes to the anime, as it’s the very spot where Ash caught both Caterpie and Pidgeotto.
While players will have access to superior options later in the game, capturing Pidgeotto and raising its level is advisable since a challenging battle with a level 10 Pinsir lies ahead.
How to Catch Bulbasaur in Pokémon Ash Gray
From Cerulean City, head south and west into a grassy area until you reach the entrance of the Hidden Village.
While exploring the village, you’ll meet Melani, who challenges you to first defeat Bulbasaur to prove your worthiness as its trainer. Bulbasaur is relatively easy to capture at level 10, so lower its HP and utilize a Poké Ball.
Be cautious of traps inside the Hidden Village; without an Escape Rope or a Pokémon with Teleport, you risk becoming permanently stuck in the holes.
