The Faydown Cloak
The primary allure of Mount Fay is undoubtedly the Faydown Cloak. To acquire this remarkable item, you must first obtain the Clawline ability from the Underworks. While not essential for completing Act 2, I highly recommend acquiring it before facing Grand Mother Silk.
From the base to the summit, you will challenge the icy winds and obstacles—all against the clock. While this ascent may seem daunting initially, frequent practice with Clawline will turn it into an easier endeavor. As you traverse Mount Fay later in Act 3, keep an eye out for Mister Mushroom, who can be spotted alongside a giant bug-bird creature.
Fatal Resolve
In Act 3, players will encounter the formidable Pinstress, a familiar blue-coated apparition from the Blasted Steps. And let me tell you, she is no pushover!
Start your journey by visiting Bellhart to accept the challenge, then make your way up Mount Fay. The Pinstress awaits on a small plateau just above a breakable wall adorned with a bench. Initially, she will be asleep, so give her a few jabs with your needle to awaken her for the impending battle.
Watch your step—falling from the platform will reset your progress in this challenging fight.

The key difficulty in this battle lies in her rapid movements. Most of the time, the Pinstress will be floating and dashing, allowing limited opportunities for you to strike back. Focus on evading her assaults while timing your attacks for maximum effect, and you will eventually emerge victorious. Defeating her rewards you with the Pin Badge Tool, reducing the charge time for your Needle Strike ability.
Liquid Lacquer Delivery
This delivery task may not offer the most appealing rewards and does not contribute to the game’s 100% completion status.
If you have already completed the Courier’s Rasher delivery, navigating this task should be simpler.Refer to our guide for an effective route.
Follow the standard Courier’s Rasher route until you reach the Citadel. Upon arriving at the Ventrica Station, instead of heading right, go left. Proceed past the Spa and cross the large bridge extending from the Citadel.
Travel through the Slab, moving down past the Bellway Station. Continuing upwards through Mount Fay will lead you to the top. From there, head left and descend the western side of the mountain until you spot a route leading further west.
Ascend through this short tunnel to arrive at the Mask Maker. The initial reward for completing this delivery was a meager 360 rosaries, now increased to 680 rosaries, which is still underwhelming given the trek involved. For a better rosary yield, grind against the tall warriors in the corridors of the Citadel.
Tools
Memory Crystal
You can locate the Memory Crystal near the bench on the western side of Mount Fay. Specifically, it is situated just east of said bench.
Break through the wall, then drop down and smash through the large ice crystals obstructing your path. Eventually, you will discover a small room containing the Memory Crystal.
This unique crystal activates upon receiving damage, summoning a statue of your character that explodes when enemies come into contact. While intriguing, it pales in comparison to the more effective blue tools available throughout the game.
Weaver’s Silkshot
To craft the Weaver’s Silkshot, you must first obtain the ruined tool, which can be found in Bilewater. From the entrance to Sinner’s Road leading into Bilewater, travel straight east until you arrive at your destination.
Once you’ve obtained this tool, ascend to the pinnacle of Mount Fay where you found the Faydown Cloak, and then drop down the eastern side. You will uncover a cozy cave featuring a resting spot and a workbench. Combine the Ruined Tool with a piece of Craftmetal to create your own Silkshot.
This creation is the only one you can craft; after making this variant, the others must be acquired through the Forge Daughter in the Deep Docks and the Architect in the Underworks.
Collectibles You May Have Missed
Brightvein Mask Shard
This particular task can only be completed in Act 3. Return to the lake at the center of Mount Fay, where you will find a previously cut stalactite floating atop the water.
Utilize your Silk Soar ability to ascend and venture eastward to discover a new sub-area named Brightvein. Prepare for a challenging platforming sequence requiring you to use your Faydown Cloak and Clawline to bounce off enemies and shatter ice crystals while navigating the air currents.
Your efforts will reward you with a valuable Mask Shard located at the summit.
Double Jump Tower Mask Shard
From the southwestern-most bench, head west to discover a hollow tower containing a mask piece. Accessing this area requires the Faydown Cloak, so ensure you grab it on your descent from the mountaintop.
Hidden Flea
Located at the center of Mount Fay, where you previously utilized your Silk Soar during the Brightvein quest, shift your focus to the west. Move past the lake into the next chamber. Leverage wall jumps to ascend into the ceiling.
Within, you’ll find a hidden zone adorned with sizable crystals and a trapped flea!
