Completing Chapter 2 of Deltarune requires a deeper commitment than the first chapter, as it involves intricate backtracking and exploration to achieve 100% completion. This guide focuses on items, unique armor, weapons, and navigating the chapter’s puzzles and battles, all while maintaining a true pacifist approach.
To achieve full completion, it is imperative to avoid violent encounters. This means sparing each enemy multiple times to accumulate all recruits. Consequently, this guide will not delve into the Weird Route, which significantly limits content availability and merits a separate save file. Let’s set out on this pacifist adventure!
Castle Town
Silver Card

Although many players might skip to the Cyber World on a second playthrough, I recommend visiting Castle Town first. Here, you can collect a valuable item. After navigating a giant trash orb and enjoying a humorous scene, you’ll arrive in Castle Town and find the Bakery, where you can interact with Mallius.
If you’ve equipped an Amber Card, consider fusing a couple of them to create the Silver Card, which significantly boosts your gains with a 5% increase in money and +2 defense, making it a superior choice to the Amber Card. Additionally, remember to stock up on items at Seam’s shop, deposit your GlowShards, and grab another SpinCake from the Café.
Cyber Field
Glow Wrist

Once you enter the Cyber World, have Susie throw Kris to navigate the Werewires. You’ll soon reach a fork in the path. Head right to find an easy chest containing the Glow Wrist.
This accessory may not seem impressive, but it offers +2 defense, making it a worthwhile upgrade over an Amber Card. Additionally, it’s beneficial for future fusions.
Fiber Scarf

In the room where you first battle a Tasque, take the upper right exit, which leads to a puzzle that requires you to spell “APPLE.”Completing this puzzle unlocks the Fiber Scarf, which provides unique stats.
This item grants +2 Attack and +2 Magic in Chapters 2 and 4, but in Chapter 3, its stats increase to +3 Attack and +2 Magic, showcasing its potential effectiveness in later encounters.
Punch Out!!

When Queen challenges you to a game, you’ll find yourself playing a mock version of Punch-Out!! For those struggling, using a strategy of dodging to the side after three punches can help evade most attacks.
Hacker

After enjoying an $80 bagel, you can speak with the Hacker, who will assign you the task of locating the Blue Checkmarks. This task will unfold naturally throughout your adventure.
Glow Wrist 2/Blue Checksmark 1

Continue down the path between two note-dropping scenes where you may encounter a Tasque. Open the chest in the bottom right to retrieve another Glow Wrist and the first Blue Checkmark.
AGREE2ALL

This puzzle requires a slightly more strategic approach. To solve it, step on A, G, R, then E, walk back left, hit E again, head down to type 2, A, and finally, press L twice.
Blue Checksmark 2

Once you agree to all terms and conditions, backtrack slightly and head upwards to a room with three teacup spinners. Take the leftmost spinner to reach another letter puzzle.
Begin at the top left tile, navigate down three tiles, move right, up, right, down, then right three times, up, left, down, left, and finally up to complete it and automatically receive the second Blue Checkmark.
Blue Checksmark 3
In the same teacup room as the previous checkmark, take the middle cups to easily acquire your final Blue Checkmark. Afterward, head back to the Hacker to recruit him to your city and enjoy some celebratory fireworks.
Sweet, Cap, n’ Cakes

This encounter serves primarily to introduce Susie and Ralsei as independent characters. To expedite the battle, use Kris to initiate a dance on the first turn, targeting either the second or third enemy. This tactic directs all hits toward Kris, allowing R and S actions to unfold instantly.
Mecha Saber/Auto Axe

Following the fireworks, proceed to Sweet, Cap, and Cakes’ shop. Here, you can purchase the Mecha Saber and Auto Axe—both of which significantly enhance your damage output, provided you haven’t already acquired the Devil’s Knife from Chapter 1.
Tension Bit

After the Smorgasboard 2 encounter, you’ll navigate dancing save icons and conveyor belts to retrieve the Tension Bit, which boosts your TP by 32% in battle. However, use this item cautiously; it’s a one-time use item that has not appeared in any other chapter but can be used for a superior armor fusion later.
Revive Mint

Revive Mints are essential items that become renewable only in Chapter 4; thus, gathering them now is wise. This particular Mint can be found where ViroViroKuns are shooting arrows. Evade their arrows, and approach the second ViroViroKun to dodge its projectile and access the chest with the mint.
Ragger 2

Post ViroViroKun section, you’ll face a lengthy Teacup segment with around 70 arrows to dodge.Strive to collect them all to unlock a reward. If you miss it, you’ll need to wait until fast travel is available to attempt it again. Successfully gathering arrows yields the Ragger 2, a scarf that decreases Ralsei’s Magic by 1 while increasing his Attack by 5, proving useful against the Chapter 3 Shadow Crystal boss.
Berdly

Berdly may lack in mental resilience, but his battle poses a decent challenge with engaging music. Defeating him through violence may appear easier but impacts events in later chapters. Focus on non-violent tactics, including utilizing acts defensively and carefully observing his attack patterns. Particularly pay attention to attacks indicated by a red line, allowing for effective grazing and healing opportunities.
Cyber City
Pink Ribbon

After parting ways with your allies, Noelle will join your party. Make sure to save your game here if considering the Weird Route. To find the Pink Ribbon, solve the Annoying Mouse Room and proceed to an alley containing patrolling Abyu-Lances where the chest lies.
Though it provides a modest +1 Defense, the true benefit lies in its expanded grazing area. Unfortunately, this ribbon loses its effectiveness in Chapter 3 and beyond, diminishing your TP gain by 20%, which can be a major setback.
Bounce Blade

Avoiding the lure of $80 bagels, you enter a merchant area filled with deals. Navigate next to where character tea is being sold, tackle a ViroViroKun, and the chest below offers the Bounce Blade—providing +2 Attack and +1 Defense, an excellent weapon for those favoring a sparing strategy.
Mannequin

Traverse further and find a merchant with a Mannequin priced at $300. While it doesn’t provide base defense, it significantly mitigates damage from Puppet/Cat-type enemies, including the Tasques and Spamton in future encounters.
Moss

Proceed right, hit both stop signs, and navigate downwards to locate an alley. Inside, you’ll encounter a humorous moment with Mr. Toby Fox and discover moss near a dumpster, which can be consumed or saved for a later date with Susie.
Egg

In the same location as the moss, you’ll stumble upon graffiti hinting at a secret. Alternately walk between the left and right rooms rapidly to unveil a hidden area where interacting with the tree’s leaves allows you to receive an egg without being sent back.
Annoying Mouse Room 2

This room presents a more complex puzzle. To create the solution, align the first block with a red block at the bottom-right position, set the second one to have a block on the bottom and top, and align the last block so the mice will strike the far right block.
Berdly 2

The second fight against Berdly mirrors the initial challenge. Using violence leads to negative consequences, so sustain the use of Play Smart, apply Sleep Mist on the Werewires instantly, and prepare to heal, as his attacks can be punishing due to your low HP.
Car NPC

During a car ride with Queen, dodge incoming vehicles to encounter a humorous Castle Town NPC.Hold left and right simultaneously; if that’s unfeasible, use the D-Pad for left and the stick for right.
Spamton
Facing Spamton for the first time may seem straightforward, but understanding his dialogue is crucial. Use Deal or Heal on every turn and respond correctly to his overshared captions.Start with “Tell Me More”, proceed with “Don’t Give”, “Take Deal”, “Don’t Buy”, “Refuse”, and finalize with “No Deal”to inflate Spamton until you can end the fight with “Yes Deal”.
Queen’s Mansion
Big Shot Bowtie/Royal Pin

After completing some puzzles, you’ll access the Mansion’s Cafe, where you can acquire the Big Shot Bowtie and the Royal Pin—both valuable defensive items. The Royal Pin provides +3 Defense and +1 Magic, while the Big Shot Bowtie offers +2 Defense and +1 Magic, crucial for specific future fusions.
KeyGen/Broken Sword

To continue your quest, you must leave Queen’s mansion through the fast travel door to access Spamton’s Shop. Here, purchase the KeyGen, timing your button press to secure a discounted price. Make sure to acquire the unique Big One and Big Shot Bowtie as well.
ReviveMint

In the mansion with fire-breathing paintings, head left and interact with the red painting to uncover a ReviveMint, a crucial item to stockpile for future endeavors.
Task Manager

You can achieve an instant spare on the formidable Tasque Manager by responding with “Left”, “Bottom”, and “Left”to her prompts. Though she puts up a fight, sparing her at 100% mercy makes the encounter less troublesome.
Chain Mail

Dodging indoor traffic hazards leads you to a room containing the Hacker and a chest with the Chain Mail, which offers +3 Defense as a solid piece of armor.
Basement
From the Chain Mail room, follow the Hacker to a backdoor, where you’ll see a cursor change indicating an interactive object. Hit the switch for faster access next time and use the KeyGen to enter the basement for Spamton’s deal.
Proceed left, evade the plugs by simply moving forward, and you’ll fall into some teacups. Trigger a switch, then navigate through an obstacle course—watch for shadows and pause when taking damage for easier passage.
Return to the save point, head right to find a door leading to a long hallway. Interact with the deactivated robot at the end for an empty disk, then exit as quickly as you can.
Glowshard

In a room with the fun-cloaked butlers chased by pots, make sure to interact with all the cloches until they transform into UFOs. Survive long enough to earn another Glowshard.
Revive Dust

During your first stop in the Acid Tunnel of Love, make your way up using tiles that alternate between red and blue. Defeat a Werewire to acquire the Revive Dust, a helpful item for reviving your entire party.
Rouxls Card

This battle is manageable. To win rapidly, focus on gaining TP by claiming houses aggressively and strategically move diagonally to box Rouxls in just three turns.
Spamton NEO
After a cute scene and proceeding back to the 3rd floor, you can use the fast travel door to reach Spamton’s domain. Ensure you have enough healing items equipped and deposit the disk into the previously mentioned broken robot.
Completing this action will trigger the boss fight. Like Jevil, rewards differ based on whether you choose to fight or spare Spamton by cutting his strings. Fighting grants the Puppet Scarf with +10 Attack and -6 Magic, while sparing him yields +5 Defense, +5 Magic, and a 30% increase in money, which is decidedly the better option.

The fight against Spamton is considerably easier than Jevil’s, using a familiar Yellow Soul mechanic modified with charge shots that easily penetrate every attack. Additionally, using F1 for immediate healing during the fight is incredibly beneficial.
Focus on using SnapAll for maximum effectiveness; while Ralsei and Susie’s specialized acts do provide some additional help, maximizing defense through SnapAll generally yields the best results—typically ensuring a swift victory.
Queen
Following your defeat of Spamton, the Queen becomes considerably less daunting. Employ GroupLoosen whenever possible, and don’t hesitate to strike her shield with attacks for maximum effect. The return of DualHeal simplifies healing, so the battle becomes a tactical exercise.
Avoid hitting Berdly and consistently alleviate his status, then you will engage in the real Punch-Out!! game. The strategy of dodging after every three punches prevails, enabling you to heal regularly while inflicting significant damage quickly.
Castle Town Second Visit
Fusions

Upon concluding your adventures in Cyber City, return to Castle Town for exciting fusion-related endeavors. Start by visiting the bakery for excellent fused items that will enhance your combat efficiency.
The Twin Ribbon, though impacted similarly to the original Pink Ribbon, presents objective benefits with +3 Defense and improved grazing area. The Spike Band serves as a balanced upgrade over the Iron Shackle, providing +2 Attack and +1 Defense, while the Tension Bow offers +2 Defense and +10% TP gain—making it a valuable asset.
Chapter 2 All Stars

Visit the Dojo to engage in the Chapter 2 All Stars challenge, where you’ll face every foe encountered throughout the chapter, culminating in a showdown with dual WereWereWires.
Completing this challenge rewards you with a TensionGem, an item that grants a one-time +50% TP boost, which I intend to keep for a significant period.
Chapter 2 Light World
Visit Rudy

This visit includes an extended Noelle cutscene that deepens her relationship with Susie, a plot thread to be explored in later chapters.
Visit Undyne and Alphys

Locate Undyne at the police station with Alphys nearby. Engage with Undyne, assist in releasing some criminals, and deliver chocolates to Alphys to further enrich the storyline between the two characters.
Visit Alvin

Journey down to the graveyard to find Alvin mourning Gerson Boom, where you’ll encounter humorous dialogue about Asriel’s past mishaps and hints about future chapters.
The Bunker

Visit Sans/Deposit Egg

Entering Sans’ shop, you’ll receive a rain check on meeting his brother. Remember to deposit the egg you obtained earlier into the egg basket while enjoying some amusing family dynamics.
Visit Mettaton

Heading toward the ghost house near the Flower King, knock on the door and answer “Someone else.” Mettaton will request you to bring entertainment by tomorrow, which you’ll fulfill in a future chapter.
Visit Onionsan

Relax by the ocean for a moment until Onionsan appears, sharing a mysterious song by the sea, a narrative thread that weaves throughout the chapters.
After completing all available tasks in your hometown, head home, wash your hands, and fall asleep on the couch. Don’t forget to watch the credits to save your completion data.
