The third season of Lopez vs. Lopez made its debut on NBC on October 18, 2024. This sitcom is brought to life by creators George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, and Debby Wolfe, with Wolfe serving as an executive producer alongside Katie Newman, Lesley Wake Webster, Bruce Helford, Dan Signer, among others. The series kicked off its first season on November 4, 2022, followed by the second season’s launch on April 2, 2024.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the official description for season 3 is as follows:
“George and Mayan, a father and daughter previously separated by distance, work through their challenges, rebuilding their relationship and experiencing the ups and downs that come with it, as they try to recapture lost time in their unique way.”
Additionally, the synopsis mentions:
“With George reentering Mayan’s life, he often offers her quirky parenting tips concerning her son, Chance, while playfully teasing her boyfriend, Quinten. George’s ex-wife, Rosie, is in the mix as well; while she hasn’t fully moved on from their past, they’ve managed to maintain a somewhat amicable relationship… mostly.”

1) George Lopez as Himself
In this comedic series, George Lopez portrays a character bearing his own name. When financial troubles hit his moving business, Lop-E.Z. Movers, he moves in with his estranged daughter, Mayan, and her family.
George Lopez is widely recognized for hosting the late-night talk show Lopez Tonight from 2009 to 2011. His impressive acting credentials include leading roles in multiple sitcoms, such as George Lopez on ABC, Saint George on FX, and Lopez on TV Land. He has also appeared in films like Real Women Have Curves, El Chicano, The Spy Next Door, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and the superhero film Blue Beetle. Furthermore, he lent his voice to the character Rafael in the animated film Rio.
2) Mayan Lopez as Herself
Playing the role of Mayan Lopez is George Lopez’s real-life daughter, who shares the same name. A veterinarian by trade, she resides with her boyfriend, Quinten, and their son, Chance.
Mayan’s role in Lopez vs. Lopez marks her first significant acting performance. Previously, she had guest appearances in her father’s sitcom, George Lopez, and appeared in the 2017 film Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie.
3) Matt Shively as Quinten Van Bryan
In the series, Matt Shively takes on the role of Quinten Van Bryan, who is Mayan’s long-term boyfriend and Chance’s father. At the beginning of season 3, he marries Mayan.
Shively started his career playing Ryan Laserbeam in Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP, which aired from 2008 to 2011, and has since taken on various roles in shows such as American Housewife, The Purge, The Real O’Neals, Total Badass Wrestling, and the mockumentary series Players. His filmography includes notable appearances in movies like Power Rangers, The Wedding Year, and Mark, Mary & Some Other People, as well as horror films like Paranormal Activity 4 and The Tomb.
4) Brice Gonzalez as Chance Lopez-Van Bryan
Brice Gonzalez portrays Chance Lopez-Van Bryan, the son of Mayan and Quinten, who often enjoys the affection of his grandparents, George and Rosie.
Brice previously played Brandon in the miniseries Real Husbands of Hollywood. He also lent his voice to the character Tot in the 2023 film PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie and starred as Steven Montanez in Eva Longoria’s debut film, Flamin’ Hot.
5) Selenis Leyva as Rosie Flores Lopez
Selenis Leyva takes on the role of Rosie Flores Lopez, George’s ex-wife and Mayan’s mother. She remains deeply involved in Mayan’s life and frequently engages in comical disputes with George, contributing to the show’s humor.
Best known for her portrayal of Gloria Mendoza in the acclaimed Netflix series Orange is the New Black, Leyva has also featured in shows like Law & Order as Detective Mariluz Rivera and Diary of a Future President as Gabi Cañero-Reed. Her film appearances include Spider-Man: Homecoming, Creed III, Breaking, Chapter & Verse, S*x and the City 2, and Custody, among others.
6) Al Madrigal as Oscar Rivera
Al Madrigal features as Oscar Rivera, George’s loyal friend who previously worked at Lop-E.Z Movers.
A skilled comedian, writer, actor, and producer, Al rose to popularity as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. His television roles span various sitcoms including About a Boy, Gary Unmarried, Welcome to The Captain, and the dark comedy I’m Dying Up Here on Showtime. He has also made appearances in films like Night School, Morbius, Drugstore June, and Hollywood Stargirl.
