2) Eva Igo as Gwen Johnson

Eva Igo, a 21-year-old dancer and actress from Minnesota, has built a portfolio that includes World of Dance (2017-2020), The Last Astronaut (2019), and The Wondrous Voyage of Kornel Esti (1995).

In The Book Club Murders, she portrays Gwen Johnson, Natalie’s daughter. According to the trailer, Gwen receives one of the threatening letters, placing her in danger and intensifying Natalie’s fears for her daughter’s safety.

Plot Summary of The Book Club Murders

The film follows Natalie Johnson, who joins a book club after her daughter’s best friend goes missing, her husband is murdered, and her home is destroyed. Having faced multiple tragedies, Natalie hopes the book club represents a new start in her life.

However, shortly after joining, club members begin receiving threatening messages from an anonymous sender known as Aletheia. When several recipients of these letters are attacked and killed, Natalie becomes frantic, particularly when it appears her daughter is the next target.

According to a synopsis from Rotten Tomatoes:

“Members of a book club start to receive threatening letters that reveal their darkest secrets. When the recipients of the letters begin to die, Natalie Johnson frantically searches for the culprit to protect her daughter from becoming the next victim.”

The Book Club Murders is set to premiere on LMN on October 3, 2024.
