Jorja Cadence stars as Lena, the distressed Amish mother, who reaches out to her longtime friend Skye, portrayed by Elise Bauman. Skye has left her traditional Amish lifestyle behind to pursue a career as a social media influencer.

Cadence also features in the second season of Netflix’s popular series Sex/Life and plays Patsy Presley in Sofia Coppola’s recent A24 film, Priscilla. 2) Elise Bauman as Skye
Elise Bauman is a multifaceted Canadian actor, director, filmmaker, and singer, most noted for her captivating role as Laura Hollis in the web series Carmilla (2014-2016). A graduate of Circle In The Square Theatre School, she proudly identifies as a queer actor.
She has also starred as a series regular in CBC’s upcoming comedy series One More Time (2024) as Jen Hauser, an aspiring Olympic athlete. Additionally, Bauman contributed to Lifetime’s first lesbian-themed holiday film, Under The Christmas Tree, along with projects like Workin’ Moms on CBC, Letterkenny on Hulu, Jane on Apple TV, Skymed on Paramount+, and Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix.
In 2018, she earned the Audience Choice Award at the Canadian Screen Awards. In A Kidnapping in Amish Country, she plays Skye, Lena’s estranged ally whom she turns to for assistance in locating her abducted child.
