Cody Rhodes sends a message to CM Punk after WWE RAW

Despite high hopes, this week’s installment of WWE RAW did not go as planned for Cody Rhodes. The Rock and The Bloodline continued their domination over the American Nightmare, leaving him once again defeated.

Despite his recent appearance on RAW in Chicago, CM Punk doesn’t seem to have dampened Rhodes’ spirits after the show. In fact, Rhodes took to Twitter to send a friendly message to Punk.

On Twitter/X, Punk was spotted appreciating the elegant setups organized by Rhodes for the WWE makeup team. In response, Rhodes posted a targeted message directed towards the former WWE Champion.

“Well at least somebody was enjoying that thing,”wrote Rhodes

After his surprising comeback to WWE, CM Punk encountered several superstars, one of them being Cody Rhodes.

In anticipation of the highly-anticipated Royal Rumble 2024 Premium Live Event, Punk and Rhodes encountered each other during an episode of Monday Night RAW.

During an exclusive interview with WWE, Punk discussed his encounter with Rhodes and clarified that he does not consider them to be enemies in any way. Punk stated:

“I felt some tension there, and that is what the Royal Rumble is about. There are no friends, right? Doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to be adversaries or enemies, but something about it just feels like on Sunday morning we might be. I’m hoping that is not the case, but I don’t know,”

In the Men’s Royal Rumble Match, Rhodes and Punk were the last two remaining superstars. Punk, a former WWE Champion, seemed to have the upper hand and was on the verge of winning the large battle royal. However, Rhodes turned the tides in his favor and ultimately eliminated The Best In The World, securing his second consecutive Rumble victory.

At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes will be vying for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, while Punk will provide commentary for the match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
