Cody Rhodes confirms popular family member will be in attendance for WWE WrestleMania

Cody Rhodes has announced that a beloved member of his family will be present at WWE WrestleMania 40. Rhodes is set to participate in matches on both nights of the event.

The American Nightmare and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins will join forces on Night 1 of The Show of Shows to face off against The Bloodline in a tag team match. If the villainous group emerges victorious, they will have control over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Rhodes and Reigns the following night. Recently, The Rock launched a brutal attack on Rhodes during last week’s episode of RAW, and The Bloodline continued the assault on this week’s Monday night edition of the red brand. The Brahma Bull has also dragged “Mama Rhodes”into the feud, claiming that he will present her with a belt covered in her son’s blood this weekend.

Cody Rhodes made an appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani today in preparation for WrestleMania XL. During their discussion, Rhodes mentioned that his mother would be present at the event this weekend.

Despite The Rock’s words, Cody Rhodes has disclosed that his mother remains unfazed and will not allow him to approach her at WWE WrestleMania.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour earlier today, Rhodes stated that his mother is ready to take on anyone who tries to hinder his path to becoming champion. He also mentioned that although The Rock may try to intimidate him, Mama Rhodes is not one to be reckoned with and can easily defeat The Great One.

“I also think, just as a mom, I think anyone who has gone against me in the sense of trying to get this one thing, she is out to fight. And The Rock may intimidate so many other people; hell, The Rock might even be able to intimidate me. He cannot intimidate Michelle Rubio. He cannot. Just not going to happen, and I look forward to whatever that moment is, if there is a moment. He is getting nowhere near her at WrestleMania,”he said.

Despite originally being scheduled to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, The Rock’s match was ultimately changed by WWE due to fan backlash. It remains to be seen if a singles match between The Rock and Cody Rhodes will take place in the future.
