CoD: Modern Warfare III/Warzone Season 3 Adds Rebirth Map, Cheech & Chong; Free Trial Drops

The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone Season 3 has officially launched, offering players a plethora of new and exciting content. As expected, there are plenty of new maps and modes for the core CoD: Modern Warfare III multiplayer experience, while Warzone has also received updates, including the return of the popular Rebirth Island Resurgence map. Fans can also look forward to crossover content such as Godzilla x Kong cosmetics and the addition of Cheech and Chong as Operators. New maps for multiplayer

The launch of 6 Star.

• Brand-New, Core, 6v6, Medium-Sized
• The Hadiqa 6 Star resort, located on a Dubai skyscraper, is known for its luxurious accommodations and top-notch service for its discerning guests. However, the tranquil atmosphere is now disrupted as the resort is being attacked. The various flow lanes throughout the resort cater to different playstyles, and the curved connecting corridors provide convenient access to different areas of the map. Additionally, there are useful shortcuts such as a vent connecting the aquarium and Oasis Lounge, a pump room that leads to the lounge, and a precarious catwalk connecting the garden helipad to a security office.

Launch (Emergency)

• Brand-New, Core, 6v6, Small-Sized
• Conquer this Arizonan medical facility, situated atop a secluded mountain range, and leave your enemies hospitalized in the nearby town nestled in the valley below. The area is engulfed in a raging fire, with thick black smoke rising from the valley, and the State Disease Control Agency facility has been witness to intense battles. The map flows through an outdoor courtyard, an interior reception lobby, and a medical laboratory, providing ample long-range sightlines from the ground and atop parked vehicles. Prepare for fast-paced and chaotic combat.

• New (Remastered), Core, 6v6, Small-Sized
• Originally known as Sphere in Season 3 of Call of Duty®: Vanguard, this map may have a familiar layout, but the setting has undergone significant changes. What was once a controlled experimental site is now a remote hideout for drug dealers hidden in the foothills. The main barn has been damaged by missiles, with the roof still smoldering. Despite its smaller size compared to Meat, this map offers unexpected spaciousness thanks to its upper and lower levels, which can be accessed through various ladders and entry points. The aboveground areas provide opportunities for mid- to long-range combat, while the cramped interior of the unstable structure is ideal for close-quarter battles. Launched (Tanked)

• New (Repurposed), Core, 6v6, Medium-Sized
• A new addition to Call of Duty: Warzone is the Vondel Zoo map, developed by Beenox. This medium-sized, fast-paced map takes place after-hours, offering players a unique experience. The main attraction of the map is the Aquarium, which has been redesigned for Multiplayer. The exterior area features well-lit pathways and multiple points of interest such as a tiki bar, petting zoo, concession stalls, and the Smiling Noodles restaurant. Inside the Aquarium, players can also explore the reptile house. The majority of the action takes place on the ground level, with intense battles happening around and inside the Aquarium. To gain an advantage, players can utilize the Aquarium tunnel and an exterior cave ambush point located to the north

Mid-Season Checkpoint

• New (Repurposed), Core, 6v6, Small-Sized
• Experience the intensity of Rebirth Island in Multiplayer during Season 3’s later stages, when the eastern point of interest, Stronghold, becomes a hot spot for fast-paced combat. Designed by Beenox, this compact military communications outpost includes a central checkpoint, an armory inside, a storage locker room, and a garage. The front gate and rear roundabout are scattered with building materials, crates covered by tarps, and various means of transportation. The map boasts a high level of density, with most of the action taking place at ground level. The upper walkways and control tower are inaccessible, promoting quick and intense battles with a variety of cover options. Players can choose to defend the roundabout and nearby structures, or engage in fierce fights

Grime (During the Middle of the Season)

• Brand-New, Core, 6v6, Small- to Medium-Sized
• As you explore the graffiti-covered walls, make your way through the heaps of garbage and brave the neglected London canal, far from the bustling city center and iconic landmarks like Big Ben. The constant rumble of the tube trains overhead adds to the gritty atmosphere as you make your way to the murky waters of the docks. Take shelter in a nearby boathouse and strategically maneuver through the abandoned WeN Comms center, where the lobby is known for intense combat. Along the water’s edge, you’ll come across Emily’s diner, a popular greasy spoon. The urban landscape offers plenty of opportunities for cover, but you can always retreat to the Captain’s Dog for a refreshing pint and a hearty meal.

Additional Multiplayer Features in CoD: Modern Warfare III

• There are currently four known game modes in Season 3, with Capture the Flag Multiplayer Mode being the most prominent. The new Minefield mode requires caution, while One in the Chamber favors those armed with only a knife. Additionally, Escort and off-world Vortex Playlists will be added later in the season.
• Treyarch is currently adding final details to the upcoming full season, which will feature fresh rewards to unlock and the opportunity to collect Season 2 content on April 3.
• Attention, Soldier!: Sledgehammer is set to shake up your Multiplayer experience with the introduction of three fresh Perk Vests, new Boots, and new Gear. Additionally, keep an eye out for the arrival of a new Tactical EMD Mine and Enhanced Vision Goggles during the season.

• Embark on the Third Rift: A mystical realm holds terrifying creatures, including a wicked variation of the Disciple. Assist Ravenov with firepower and locate Dr. Jansen before she becomes trapped in the shadows.
• In Season 3, players can unlock Prestige levels to access Zombies Challenges and obtain three new Schematics that can assist in their progress. These include a schematic that allows you to blend in with Mercenaries, another one that enables you to electrify your explosive weapons, and a third one that helps you survive the gas.
• Warlord Rainmaker, a heavily armored psychopath, resides on Rahaa Island and showers his enemies with artillery fire. He shows little concern for the safety of his own troops. While his compound is easily accessible, keeping your limbs intact while setting foot on the island may prove to be a daunting task.

The launch of Season 3 brings the return of Rebirth Island! The island will feel very familiar to experienced players, as all of the Points of Interest remain unchanged and instantly recognizable. The structures and landscape of the island have been preserved, but some of the POIs have taken on a more weathered appearance. The recent occupiers, Konni Group, have made sure to upgrade and modernize the important structures on the island, both on the outside and inside. While there is only one new addition, a small power plant known as Building No 06, there are sure to be plenty of surprises awaiting players as they make their way back to Rebirth Island!

Developed by Beenox, Rebirth Island is back as the ultimate destination for Resurgence Matches and the official home of Season 3’s Call of Duty: Warzone Ranked Play: Resurgence, developed in collaboration with Treyarch and Raven Software.

• In Season 3, players can expect to experience an array of new modes and gameplay features, including Resurgence modes and variants, biometric scanners, smart displays, and weapon trade stations. A thrilling Resurgence Champion’s Quest will also be introduced in Rebirth Island, along with varying time of day conditions that alter the atmospheric mood without affecting visibility.
